So, what is the advantage of being "spritually aware"?

I have personally come to the realization and conclusion that we should never become followers to anyone.  There are many great Teachers, Mystics, Spiritual Masters, Leaders, Best Selling Authors, Ministers, Pioneers, Motivational Speakers, etc., many of which are featured on this website.  Some may even call themselves or be referred to as "Gurus".  The Human Potential/Personal Development/New Spiritual/Higher Consciousness Movement is growing larger and larger. 

In an effort to make sense of their lives, many people spend their time going to endless seminars, workshops, classes, retreats, lectures, etc., all promising tremendous breakthroughs and transformations while spending hundreds or thousands of dollars in the process with questionable or very limited results.  And what about the vast majority of humanity who cannot afford to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on these various offerings?

As our collective consciousness continues to rise, as already mentioned, there seems to lately be a HUGE cottage industry that has cropped up built around spiritual retreats, seminars, workshops, cruises, conventions, conferences, etc. (many costing hundreds and thousands of dollars), promising enlightenment, transformations, "quantum leaps in consciousness", DNA Activations, etc.  First, I would like to make an important observation:

I find it quite interesting that among this ever expanding and growing Human Potential/New Spirituality Movement, a movement which teaches ideals related to non-conformity, non-consensus, innovative ideas, elevated, expanded and creative thinking, that there seems to be a "consensus" built into this very movement as to how to get their message out to people, and that consensus is to convey their message via retreats, seminars, conventions, cruises, workshops, etc.  

In other words, everybody is basically doing the same thing...which of course only reaches and/or is only affordable to a very small segment of the population at large. 

Did everyone in the Movement just get together in a group and decide that this was how the entire Movement was going to market itself or get it's message out OR was it more likely, that one person did it, then another copied that person and so on and so on...until we have an entire Movement, (which, again teaches and promotes originality, non-consensus, innovative, expanded and creative thinking)...all doing the same thing? 

Hmmm...teaching big and grand themes, innovative new ideas and the utilization of creative and expanded thinking...from a "consensus model" that clearly is an example of the exact opposite of big and grand themes, new ideas and the utilization of creative and expanded thinking aka "the norm or status quo"?  

Just an observation! 

In researching for this website over the last several months, I have come across THOUSANDS of truly giving souls from the Human Potential/New Spirituality Movement who willingly and graciously do what should be obvious to most in the movement as the NUMBER ONE Act of a Truly Aware and Conscious Human Being...the Act Of Giving Generously.  As a matter of fact, from my perspective, that is the MAIN Action of a Truly Evolved Soul...just how much are you really and truly GIVING to Humanity?  I mean...REALLY?  No B.S.!

You have unique and revolutionary insight, wisdom, expertise, etc. which could help people to grow, expand, evolve, etc? 

Okay, fine...how much of that knowledge, wisdom, expertise, etc. are you GIVING away at No Cost in loving service to all who desires it?  How much of your wisdom are you "tithing" to others?

How are you using that very capable and innovative mind of yours to think of ways to go beyond the "privileged few" who can afford your offerings, or the "usual suspects" who are long time habitual or regular participants in the Movement, some who are sometimes referred to as "Seminar Junkies"...and just GIVE to ANYONE, particularly to people who may not be able to afford your seminars, cruises, classes, workshops, retreats, conventions, etc. OR, who may not be readily accessible to your Spiritual Community, Center, or other Spiritual Offerings? 

I assume you all have websites?  If you don't...get one ASAP!

As evidenced by the thousands of truly valuable Free resources that are included on this website, (which links to thousands of other sites), some people in the Movement truly get this relevant point, while others truly don't.  To the Human Potential/New Spirituality Movement in particular, if you really want to have a significant impact in this New World/New Paradigm...you will get this specific point ASAP!

I would like to give a piece of unsolicited advice to the Human Potential/New Spiritual Movement, based on my own expertise at having visited literally THOUSANDS of websites from others in your particular field, over the past almost 2 years, as a result of researching for this website.

If you truly wish to make a significant difference by reaching as many people as possible with your message at this critical time in human history, it's not enough to have a website that just "markets or sells" things beyond the traditional website content. 

It's about utilizing your website as an innovative galvanizing tool to access and help people from all over the world and everyone should come away from your website having gained tremendously...whether they are purchasing something from it or not. 

And just to let you know...it is so very simple and inexpensive to upload Free resources, tools, audio recordings, etc. which can be easily downloaded by anyone from anywhere in the world from your website.  You can still sell your products and services...just make sure that you offer at least one or two, (the more the better), valuable items to the masses for Free! 

And no, an ezine or newsletter does not count!  Not only are you potentially benefiting everyone by erasing ANY obstacles to people who cannot afford your products and/or services...but it just makes plain good business sense.  It's a no brainer!  Are those enough hints for you?

And Leslie Fieger's quote was 7 years ago, (2002)...imagine how many BILLIONS of people are accessible online now!   Imagine...what kind of world would we live in if EVERY Master, Guru, Teacher, Expert, Author, etc. with a website just GAVE just a few valuable resources, (the more the better), away Freely to whomever was interested? 

I know that the Internet has many, many uses but I also know that the two MAIN purposes of the Internet is to enable us to come together as a Global Community/Family...and for the ones of us with the wisdom and knowledge of the New Paradigm and how to transition into it...to SHARE this knowledge at this very critical time in Human History...for this important knowledge and wisdom to reach the Masses, not just the privileged few! 

Many in the New Spirituality Movement teach the message of Oneness and the truth of our interconnectedness but fail to realize that by offering their wisdom and knowledge only to those who can pay for it, gives a message of the exact opposite of Oneness, the false and spiritually bankrupt message of separation. 

It's the promotion of the classic and Old Paradigm illusion of offering your wisdom to the financial "haves" while totally ignoring or discounting the financially stricken "have nots".  I guess the question that I would ask of many in the Movement is this:

Do you truly believe that you were gifted by the Universe with whatever knowledge and wisdom that you possess, to be made available only to the people who can afford it or do you believe that you were gifted with it to share with the Whole, humanity at large equally, regardless of anyone's financial ability?

Here is my answer to that question:

"If your knowledge or wisdom creates separation by ONLY being made available to some or a certain segment of the population, (aka the ones who can "afford it.") and is not at least partly accessible or lovingly made available to the entire Whole, you are not truly serving."

I mean...let's just get REAL for once and for all!

There has been this debate that I have been observing within the New Spiritual Movement for the last few years in regard to many in the Movement having great reluctance in regard to charging for their talents, gifts, knowledge and wisdom. 

I was pretty neutral on this issue originally because of being a very business oriented Capricorn who has the absolute knowing that abundance is our Divine Right but, nevertheless, I always felt conflicted on this issue.  I have read several articles and listened to teleseminars from certain Business Experts over the years, which sought to make the case that it's okay to charge for your gifts, wisdom and knowledge. 

I would have to say that even after these people made their case, I still remained ambivilent to their arguments.  I agreed with the premise that abundance is our divine heritage, not just for the sake of having financial freedom personally, but the more financially free you are, the more of a difference you can make in the lives of others, the more empowered you become, the more freedom you have to allow the creative impulse to work through you versus having to devote precious time to worry about paying rent and struggling to make ends meet. 

This I was in total agreement with, which of course is obvious, because The Secret Wealth Network was created in large part to solve this issue for many.  But something kept me from making the "leap" for people to therefore...ditch their apprehensions and uncomfortability about charging money, and not only charge for your gifts, knowledge and wisdom, but to charge the highest price possible that is in line with the immense value of what you have to offer.  I mean...nothing of TRUE value in life is free, right? 

TOTALLY WRONG!

Recently, I was sitting in a concert sponsored by a Spiritual Organization. This organization does just about everything for free, and I was sitting in the audience of one of their incredible "Free" concerts, when right before intermission, the MC of the program, (a friend of mine), rose to speak to the audience before exiting. 

He made the usual (very gentle) ask for voluntary donations, if possible, which is what this beautiful non-profit organization uses to survive and which I have no problem whatsoever with, but I had a big problem with these words that he used before he made his "gentle ask". 

He said; "As you know nothing in life is free."  

Those words went through me like a shock to my system for the first time in my life, because I, as you, have heard that phrase probably a million times.  Why it affected me this way suddenly I did not understand at the time, but now I do.  Once this understanding came through, I resolved the issue or dilemma inside of me in relation to the New Spiritual Movement controversy in regard to..."charge or not to charge."

Here's the deal or what I finally figured out:

Anything of REAL or TRUE value in this world is absolutely Free.  In fact, all else is an illusion.  We are and have been given EVERYTHING of true value to us as human beings.  The ONLY things that are not free are the things that are meaningless in the first place, or what consists of the illusion.  The ignorance of this very real fact, is in my opinion, the bain of the entire human experience. 

Everyone has everything that they need, and the ONLY thing that prevents them from accessing what they need is their misperception to the contrary, or a lack of consciousness.  When we were all created, we were each created with abundance and talents beyond measure.  Everyone is equal in this regard, whether you know it or not.  That is the reality of YOU!

In regard to the controversy of "to charge or not to charge" within the New Spirituality Movement,  I will use Jesus the Christ as an example.  Jesus did not engage in writing books of his teachings to sell to who could afford them.  He did not hold the biblical era equivalent of  seminars, retreats, cruises, conferences and then charge a price that was out of reach for the majority of the population for them.  

Jesus just freely GAVE of his gifts, knowledge, healing, talent and wisdom.  Jesus did not engage in separation or valuing one group over the other by making his wisdom, knowledge, healing or teachings available only to those with the cash to pay for it. 

Jesus just GAVE willingly, joyfully and equally to all without ANY distinction!

If you have been gifted with wisdom, knowledge, healing power, unique talents, etc. and your gut aka your soul is making you very uncomfortable with asking for money for your gifts, talents, knowledge, wisdom etc., that is simply because you have no business whatsover charging for it. 

If a member of the New Spirituality Movement can make a strong case that it is NOT engaging in total separation, which, again, is the exact opposite of Oneness, by making their teachings, wisdom, knowledge, talents, healing, etc. available to only people who can afford it, please send me an email and state your case.  I would be very interested in hearing it and I promise to keep it confidential. 

At the very least, as the thousands of Magnificent Givers on this very website clearly prove, EVERYONE can give something meaningful to the Whole aka Humanity without having to charge a price.  These Amazing Givers are actually putting the Law of Reciprocity in action...knowing that "the more you give to the Whole, the more you will receive from the Whole."  It's really not Rocket Science!

Consensus has always been a "red flag" for me because anytime there is a consensus about ANYTHING, it usually means that people have just stopped thinking.  Consensus should ONLY come about when ALL has been resolved and completed, aka the world of plentitude, peace and love manifested into being.  Until that has happened, in my opinion, there should be NO consensus! 

I can see consensus being the case if everything that we incarnated here to do in regard to establishing this extraordinary New World/Paradigm and all that entails had been accomplished, but since that obviously is not yet the case for the majority and we are still at a very critical stage in Human Evolution where all hands on deck are needed, a mindset of "consensus" and "status quo-ism" is totally unacceptable.  Hence, why this website and all it offers was created.  To repeat a quote already mentioned above...

The topic of "consensus thinking" reminds me of the instance of a sizable group of very well-known "Thought Leaders"  who got together in July of 2008 for what I am guessing was suppose to be the equivalent of "The Ultimate Mastermind Group". 

I would first like to state that I have the utmost respect and admiration for the vast majority of the people in this group, (some are even very respectfully represented on this website)...but that still does not prevent me from saying what I feel needs to be said. 

Obviously it was suppose to be this HUGE deal that these celebrated "thought leaders" all came together to offer something that was suppose to be HUGE, (because these are all well-known celebrated "thought leaders" right? These are "leaders of thought!" Their thoughts "lead" us so we don't have to think or...they are here to lead us in thought!). 

Okay, this sizable group of well-known "thought leaders" get together, to "think", (because that's what "thought leaders" do, and so much better than us...which is why they are "thought leaders".)   

And what did this HUGE Brain Trust of brilliant, innovative, creative and visionary brain power consisting of a sizable group of people who collectively have millions of followers and adherents among them come up with from this "ultimate" Mastermind session of the world's greatest "thought leaders" in July of 2008?   They came up with a petition...a Free petition...on a website with thousands of other Free petitions, and their petition proposed "A Call To Conscious Evolution".  

This is what this group of what is "thought" to be the most innovative and visionary minds on the cutting edge of thought collectively came up with...a Free petition for you to sign.  I guess in signing the petition, this would officially make you a participant in the "Evolution of Human Consciousness"...but you have to first sign the petition in order to be considered a TRUE participant. 

Wow...who knew that you could become a real live participant in the Evolution of Human Consciousness...by signing a petition!  How simple...and all I need to do is agree via the consciousness of my signature with the platform written up by these wonderful "thought leaders", a platform that has been echoed time and time again in the dozens, possibly hundreds or thousands of petitions that came before this "groundbreaking" petition which finally debuted on the Internet in October of 2008.  

Remember, the "Ultimate Mastermind Meeting" was in July of 2008.  I guess it takes months to create a platform for a petition this innovative and visionary.  And the goal of the petition? 100,000 signatures.  Well, it is now almost January 2009, the petition has been up for over 2 months...and as of now only has 1746 signatures. 

I'm sure that everyone has just been preoccupied with the historic presidential elections, the holidays, etc.  I mean, that has to be the answer as to why this momentous petition from these well-known "thought leaders" has so far garnered so little interest.  Heck, just 1% of their collective followers and adherents should far exceed their 100,000 signature goal...and what a modest goal 100,000 people is in a world of almost 7 billion people.   Is my disdain (or Ego) really showing now?  At least I have the guts to truthfully call myself out. 

As I have stated in another writing on this website titled, "Living The Authentic Life", Ego is not "bad" or something to be cursed or surpressed in my Reality.   My Ego is my dear friend which I always listen to when it wants to be heard. 

When I let go of the disdain long enough to stop and to listen to it, of course, there was a larger truth or point trying to emerge and reveal itself.  The MAIN point is that the term "thought leader" is an oxymoron.  That's why I always enclose it in quote marks...because it's totally unreal!

Definition of oxymoron: A phrase in which two words of contradictory meaning are used together for special effect.

I found it very revealing and telling that my favorite online dictionaries, (American Heritage and Merriam Webster), did not even have a definition for the term/phrase "thought leader".  This let's me know that at least the whole entire world has not gone insane!  If you wish to entertain the notion of "thought leaders" then we are ALL "thought leaders", ladies and gentlemen! 

We all "lead by our thoughts" whatever they may be.  If the rationale for defining these well-known and celebrated individuals who endorsed or sponsored this petition is because they are supposedly known for their innovative, visionary or futuristic ideas...then I guess the question then becomes...based on WHOSE opinion? 

Or maybe it should be asked...what is the "shelf life" in regard to the visionary, innovative and creative thinking of these individuals, because I think the case can be easily made that the expiration date is quickly advancing, if not already expired. 

If we are going to term anybody as a "thought leader" then look to the thousands of truly visionary, creative and innovative people featured within this very website, particularly the ones spotlighted at the beginning of each web page under the headline "Create And Be The Change", most of whom are unknown and uncelebrated...not that this means anything to them!  

Everyone reading this very writing can easily come up with a more visionary, innovative and creative idea than a "Free Petition", in terms of truly creating and being the change!  It's time to get away from meaningless rhetoric and "symbolism" and just start calling out and exposing the truth...so that we can then move forward and then really begin doing something! 

This is all being said to FINALLY blow apart some HUGE misperceptions and insanity out there but mostly to make the case for you all to stop giving your power away to other people aka letting other people think for you or to stop entertaining the false notion of "thought leaders". 

Heck, their "Call To Conscious Evolution" is symbolism at it's best, a call that has already gone out long ago, (which means they are late), and this Consciousness is manifesting more and more as the happenings and momentous events currently taking place in our world and individual consciousnesses so clearly reflect.  I mean, come on...you call that "futuristic" or innovative thinking? 

Come on people, get a grip on yourselves!  Believe me, you are much better off thinking for yourselves.  There is no such thing as a "thought leader", ladies and gentlemen!  This is the height of "old paradigm" or outdated thinking.  We are ALL thought leaders, and whether we realize it or not, we all "lead by our thoughts".  The question is...where are your thoughts leading you and are you happy with the direction they are taking you in?  Okay, I am now off the ficticious "thought leader" soap box.

Back to my original point in regard to GIVING, particularly in relation to the Human Potential, New Spirituality and Higher Consciousness Movements, (many of which include these ficticious "thought leaders")...the bottomline is, whatever they may be,...your gifts and talents were gifted to you to be at least partly, FREELY GIVEN not only sold to who can afford them!  This is what  I KNOW and, again, this is the main reason why this revolutionary website was created! 

Jesus the Christ was and is the Ultimate Wayshower, and he laid the Divine Blueprint for us to all follow.  That is exactly what the new incoming photon energies which science has documented are all about.  It would behoove all in the New Spirituality Movement to follow this Blueprint and not to distort it any longer.  I realize that it was totally unintentional but now it is time for it to end. Out with the Old; in with the New!

Just consider how much more Abundance and Goodwill you will receive in Joyous Appreciation from the Universe...just by GIVING!

Thankfully, many, many participants in the Spiritual Consciousness Movement already "get it", in regard to giving freely of their wonderful talents and gifts.  This website could not have been created if this was not the case.  I was truly shocked & amazed at the amount of giving souls that I came across through my research, literally THOUSANDS of what I call, "Magnificent & Amazing Givers", from all over the world and I am so grateful for all that has been given to help me to birth the dream of this unique website....just for YOU!  However, during my research I noticed something that I found very interesting and very revealing.

In reviewing and researching thousands of websites, I found out that some generous souls in the movement were very generous in what they freely gave, some were somewhat generous, some gave a little...and then, very surprisingly to me, I came across souls who did not give at all!  Absolutely nothing, other than perhaps a free newsletter, mostly so they could build their email list and market more items via email.

What was even more intriguing to me is that the members of the Human Potential/New Spirituality...and also the Conscious Business movement, who were the MOST generous and giving, I had rarely ever heard of before my research, meaning that they were not well-known or recognizable, (because I knew of just about everyone!), and, the people who gave the LEAST were the people who were the MOST well known or were the ones who were the most celebrated and famous. 

Considering how many followers these well known individuals have, followers who are in many ways seeking to emmulate these individuals, and in some instances, unfortunately, putting them on imaginary pedestals, I found this fact to be...INTERESTING...to say the least!  This unmistakable reality moved me to write the following quote and I will just let it be my final word on this important topic:

In regard to claims of Enlightenment, Quantum Leaps in Consciousness, Soul Evolution, Transformations, Activations, etc, promised by most of these various offerings, please do not buy into these questionable claims and empty promises.  Although there may be much profound wisdom that these extraordinary men and women have to share, or much wisdom and insight revealed in a retreat, seminar, cruise or workshop, please keep in mind that in regard to your reality, no one has more wisdom and insight into your own personal and individual truth and your unique soul journey than you do.

A teacher or guru can certainly guide you in a specific direction on your spiritual path, or help you to discover important "ah hah" moments aka "remembrances" within yourself, but ultimately the journey of your soul's awakening and liberation is singularly yours to make and this is a private and inward soul journey that you can only make alone....particularly in regard to your individual enlightenment.  Your journey to enlightenment can NEVER be even remotely identical to another's person's journey.  By their very existence, the implicit message of these various offerings is:

 "You are lacking something and I have the answer which will erase that lack and set you free...for the right price." 

I think that it was the sheer fallacy of this false premise which is why this website eventually evolved the way it did.  Although the initial concept of this website was to create a very innovative "one of a kind" business model and concept, it evolved into it's current incarnation offering a HUGE variety of spiritual, personal growth, and emotional healing resources...at absolutely NO COST, because I first began with the belief, (which eventually evolved into the complete knowing), that the pathway to self discovery, personal development, soul evolution, liberation and enlightenment should not cost a cent! 

I know that we live in a society that put's a price tag on just about everything, (at least for the time being we still do), but Personal Development, Self Discovery, Spiritual Development and Soul Evolution/Liberation have NO monetary price tag...at least not in my reality! 

In fact, in my opinion, the very notion that it does come with a price tag reveals the limited level of evolvement of anyone claiming or believing that it does.  In addition to the truly revolutionary business concept of The Secret Wealth Network, this belief and then knowing of mine eventually helped this unique website to also become...

The World's Largest Online Portal/Directory of 100% Free Human Empowerment, Personal Development, Self Realization, Spiritual Development, Consciousness Raising, Self Healing Tools, Resources and Products on the Internet...BAR NONE!

This unique vision was what I first visualized in my mind's eye...and then the Universe went practically into overdrive in flooding me with quite possibly Hundreds of Thousands of Dollars in mostly Free resources, tools and offerings, offered by THOUSANDS of wonderfully giving souls, (amazing givers who totally understand the Law of Reciprocity), to help me to create and manifest my audacious and lofty vision into reality.  I was literally overwhelmed!

My Dream eventually evolved into the intention to create a HUGE AND DIVERSE Directory of Information, Tools, Resources, Study Materials, etc. to GIVE TO ANYONE IN THE WORLD FOR FREE who made the CHOICE to at least look into the possibility that they are much more than they believe themselves to be.

This is why I say that broad claims like "enlightenment", "soul transformation" or "quantum leaps in consciousness", etc. made by well intentioned people offering retreats, workshops, seminars, classes, cruises, etc. are completely false...particularly if the claims come with a price tag.  That is NOT how the Universe/Creator/God works. 

This is not to say that you cannot receive a huge benefit from many of these endeavors but please understand that whatever amount of money you do choose to spend, is for information purposes only to possibly help you on your overall larger journey, which your soul, in it's infinite wisdom, will either accept ....or reject as part of your truth, no more, no less.  It's really as simple as that!

*Likewise, it would be wise for you to view this website as a HUGE Tree with many, many branches, (aka web pages), and several hundred beautiful, unique and diverse leaves, (aka Free tools, resources, etc.), for you to choose freely from!  Just have fun and review, choose and go with the branches and leaves that "resonate" with you...that's your soul voicing it's approval!

This all brings me to another important point.  Regardless of how advanced they appear to be or how many years of spiritual apprenticeship are under his or her belt, any spiritual teacher, guru or mystic only ever has a limited amount of wisdom and guidance to share with you.  This is very important to realize because many people who follow these individuals base their entire lives on that "limited amount of wisdom" falsely believing that is all there is.

What the followers fail to realize is that these individuals whom they are following, are all on their own personal and inward journey.  Although their mission on their journey may be to share the valuable wisdom that they discover or "download" within themselves, please remember that whatever it is that they share is a small part of the story, and mostly their own story, which connects only partly with your story. 

EVERYONE is at a different stage on the ladder of Evolution and it has nothing whatsoever to do with how much you have studied in this lifetime or how many years you have been practicing, praying, meditating, etc.  Do not get me wrong, these tools and practices can truly help you along the way, but even if you participated in them 24/7, they are merely evolving your soul along a unique and individual path that is all your own and has nothing to do with anyone else's path. 

It ONLY has to do with the evolution of your own Soul, throughout it's many incarnations, and how that soul evolution is currently proceeding. 

Everyone incarnates at a different stage on the Evolutionary Plane, so the ONLY thing that can truly be taught to you by another is that individual's perception via their current state of evolution which, (news flash!)...has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with you! 

If you happen to resonate with a Spiritual Leader, Author, Guru, etc., this is totally okay, because whatever you have gained or whatever has resonated with you from that particular Teacher, resonated for a specific and important reason that is a critical part of your own individual part in the overall scheme of life....but please do not mistake it for more than it really and truly is. 

We are not here to follow a predetermined or step by step path created by someone else.  To debunk a very popular belief promoted by many in the New Spirituality Movement, we are not here to be taught anything by anyone.  We are only here to Remember who we really are, and just as in life in general, my remembrances are totally different from yours, even though we are all evolving to get to the same destination within our remembrance. 

This is because while we are all on on the same path, we each occupy our own unique and individual position on that path.  Ultimately, we are here to discover who we really and truly are and have always been and that person bares no resemblance whatsoever to anyone else as we embark on that journey.

If you follow a path solely composed of another or just one teaching and/or philosophy, or worse, someone else's interpretation of that teaching or philosophy, you are severely limiting yourself and not truly evolving because you are basically living your life based on living someone else's truth verbatim.  

We are all unique and individual aspects of the Universe.  We all have our own individual and unique truth and subsequent path to follow.  Of course, if you are attempting to lead a life which flows with the powers of the Creator and the Universal Intelligence which governs our Universe, your uniqueness may be complimentary or similar to another person's uniqueness...but it is not at all identical! 

It is for this reason that I have come to the conclusion that the majority of our overall spiritual journey should be primarily an inward one; of going within to connect with your higher self...our heart, our soul, our intutition continuously, to serve or give back to life any way you can, if you choose, a wide variety of spiritual study and, most of all, taking steps every single day to live your life's mission and purpose...your reason for being.  There really should be no attachment to any one teaching or philosophy.  Study many different philosophies and viewpoints but always remain sovereign unto yourself.

People tend to put self professed Spiritual Masters, Philosophers, Teachers, Gurus, etc on a pedestal without realizing that these individuals are on a continuous inward journey just like we all are.  Not only does no one have a monopoly on the "truth", aka enlightenment, self realization, whatever you choose to call it, but one person's truth is totally different and unique from another person's truth and that is exactly the way it is suppose to be. 

Everyone is at a different stage on the evolutionary journey or on a different rung on the enlightenment ladder, and this, for the most part, has nothing whatsoever to do with how much you have "studied" or learned from another individual or philosophy.  That is not how it works!

This is the MAIN reason why self realization, enlightenment, higher consciousness, etc. CANNOT be taught to anyone, by anyone.  Everyone is different and unique and what is the truth for one is different than what is true for another because we all are at different stages consciousness-wise.  Of course, there is ultimately ONE TRUTH, but the discovering of this truth is a constantly evolving journey for each individual and as we evolve our realization of this truth is constantly evolving and changing. 

Thus, when you buy into the totally false perception that someone outside of you has "the" truth and they can teach you what their version of this "truth" is which will supposedly lead you to enlightenment and self realization, then you are just buying into a delusion; a fantasy.  

The people who are heralded as Masters, Gurus, Teachers, etc...are really and truly no different from you or I.  All are equal even if we all reside at different stages of consciousness/evolution.  Where we are is exactly where we are supposed to be...and perfectly so! 

These self-proclaimed Gurus, Masters, Teachers, etc. have not left the path, having reached some supposed apex to now teach us the "real deal" or the meaning of life.  Everyone is still very much on their evolutionary journey or else they would not be here! 

All Spiritual Leaders, Gurus, etc. are still very much struggling along the evolutionary path, and I only use the word "struggle" because many of them have bought into their own "Guru" illusion and anytime you are dealing with an illusion, which may be made more difficult for those who falsely believe they have transcended the illusion, aka "bought into their own hype" you are in the midst of a very serious soul based struggle, or very soon will be!  

Here is one example of a New Spirituality/Higher Consciousness Movement "Guru" still obviously learning on the path...as we all are!  First, this is not meant as criticism and I won't mention any names and I have the utmost respect for this individual and what he stands for.  He is even featured several times within this website, which would not have been done if I did not have the utmost respect for him.  It is just to give an example within the broader theme of this writing which is "Only You Can Liberate You". 

And for the record, any examples that I give within this writing or any other writing on this website in regard to unnamed teachers, leaders, gurus, etc., is not to criticize the leader, but to show that they are just like you and me.  They are no more and no less; all are equal. 

The point being is to encourage you to stop giving your power away to someone else so that you can begin to stand in your own unique power and truth.   That's pretty much the overall theme of this entire website...Self Empowerment!

Getting back to my example, this is a very well known New Spiritual Leader, Philosopher, Author and an all around wonderful man whom I admire greatly.  He is doing truly amazing work throughout the world on too many levels to count and probably many that I am not even aware of. 

This well known Spiritual Guru was recently on a major cable news channel where he gave an interview in relation to a recent and well-publicized terrorist attack.  He spoke very eloquently and truthfully about the broader issue of terrorism and the "root causes" of terrorism and he correctly stated that some of the policies of Western Countries/Nations bore some responsibility for contributing to those underlying causes.

Well, some newspaper columnist at a well-known conservative leaning newspaper did not take kindly to this Spritual Leader "blaming America" for terrorism, (her words not mine), and which, of course, he did not do, and she wrote this newspaper column which basically blasted this Spiritual Leader.  The columnist disparaged what she called this  "New Age" Philosopher, Healer, and gave him many other titles all to "prove" that he had no business speaking about the issue of terrorism, in addition to subtly try to paint him as one those "woo-woo" spiritual snake oil salesmen. 

The column was totally unfair, not to mention disrespectful, but totally unsurprising when you think of where the consciousness of a conservative Bush defending columnist may presently lie.  It's to be expected and, in my opinion, the only emotion that it should have elicited from this Spiritual Leader is amusement.

What I found very interesting is how this well known Spiritual Leader chose to respond to this conservative columnist's critique of him.  First, he wrote a brief response to the columnist's column at a well known blog, which revealed that he was clearly offended, insulted and outraged by this columnist's "attack" on him and his reputation. 

I mean, REALLY offended.  In his first brief response he stated that his son was also going to be submitting a response and that he was going to be publishing yet another response in the conservative newspaper which printed the offending column.

The very next day, he published what he called "a fuller and more personal response" to the columnist's "attack" on him (his word), at the same well-known blog, where he proceeded to give what he considered to be personal and valid reasons based on personal life experiences as to why he felt that he was enough of an expert to offer his views on the root cause of terrorism.  In addition to this, he spent at least half of the entire column addressing point by point almost every "attack" made against him by the columnist to the tiniest degree. 

For example, the columinist noted in her introduction of him in her column, that in addition to him being a New Age Philosopher , Healer etc, he was also a "digestion guru and advocate of aromatherapy and regular enemas".  This Spiritual Leader felt a need to defend aromatherapy and enemas or at the very least to explain himself on these matters.  My question is WHY?

Clearly, this conservative columnist was revealing her own disdain for this Spiritual Leader and coming from a lower vibrational space but what truly surprised me is that the Spiritual Leader actually took her disdain serious enough to defend her hostile words against him.  In his fuller response, (by this time his third response to her one column), he felt a need to go into detail about his professional position on aromatherapy, enemas and digestion and their merits. 

In other words, he actually took the columnist's mocking disdain seriously.  Then he listed much of his resume, his professional affiliations, his board affiliations, what States he is licensed as a medical doctor in, the organizations he has founded, etc...in addition to links to everything he listed.  This seriously took up almost half of his response.

Then, he linked to articles that were written by his daughter and son, (the son's article being another direct response to the columnist's "attack" on his father, (making this the fourth direct response.)   It was really kind of surreal for me reading all of this. 

What I found kind of amusing in the midst of all of this is that a Commenter to this Spiritual Leader's first blog response very wisely copied a practice in her comment which is taught by the Spiritual Leader in one of his many books, which detailed how to "release and let go" of any feelings and emotions not resonating at a higher consciousness.  She basically very nicely advised the Spiritual Leader to "practice what he preaches". 

This all just confirms something that I knew all along which is the fact that any Spiritual Leader, Guru, Minister, etc, is in actuality accessing information from deep inside of them which is mostly meant for THEM.  Of course, they help many people whom they share this newly unearthed knowledge from within with...but make no mistake, the person it's REALLY meant for is that particular Spiritual Leader or Guru, because it is THEIR truth. 

It would do them a whole lot of good and spur tremendous growth within them if these Spiritual Leaders were to just go back and read their own books or re-listen to their own sermons, as a student instead of as a teacher, because the person that they were REALLY speaking to and for is themselves. 

One of the issues that I initially wrestled with during the course of creating this website was the fear of ridicule and criticism.  I like everyone, do not like to be criticized...but I REALLY don't like to be criticized.  I mean, big time!  I had a lot to work through in regard to my beloved Ego, and that work is still an ongoing process. 

Creating this website was and still is a very spiritual and evolutionary process for me because many things that are now included on this website, I would have never had the courage to include when I first began creating it.  To be honest, many things that are included now I did not even know when I first began creating this website.  That includes much of this very writing.  What I finally consciously evolved into is that I had to come from my truth, what my spirit was prompting me to include in this website, even if I incur tremendous criticism or ridicule for my efforts.

I finally went into the space of envisioning the absolutely worst possible criticism and ridicule thrown at me and asked myself "if I had a chance to do this all over again, would I do it?"  The answer was a resounding YES!  I say this because if we are really and truly serious about living our life's purpose and/or playing a major part in creating and being the change in this world, what someone may say in criticism or disdain about what we stand for should be the LEAST of our worries and concerns. 

It shouldn't even measure as a blip on our personal radar screens.  This immediately brings to my mind, President Elect Barack Obama and the way he handled attacks against him during his almost two year Presidential Campaign.  The attacks against the President Elect did not measure as even a blip on his radar screen.

As a matter of fact, the attacks and criticism against him was the mere equivilent of "dirt to be brushed off his shoulder."  Check this out:

"On April 17, 2008, Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama referenced the song "Dirt Off Your Shoulder" by rap music superstar Jay - Z in gesture, in response to sharp attacks from his rival Hillary Clinton in a debate which was widely criticized for focusing on trivial issues and sensationalism.  According to "The Nation" magazine, Obama "told his supporters not to fret about all the "textbook Washington" drama, recounting the debate moderators and Clinton's attempts to "twist the knife" on trivial issues.  Then Obama made pop cultural history, miming the rapper Jay - Z's iconic hand signal to "brush the dirt" off his soulders.  When asked whether Obama was deliberately referencing the song, a campaign spokesman said, "He does have some Jay - Z on his iPod."

And mind you, this is the same guy who went on to offer his toughest, most fierce campaign rival, who was leveling much of the dirt, Hillary Clinton, THE plum position in his Presidential Cabinet; the Secretary Of State position, putting Hillary fourth in line to the Presidency.  Uh-oh, I am being inspired to write a quote right here on the spot...

"True leaders do not lead by cultivating followers whom they presume they can tell or teach what to do; true leaders lead by the sheer power of their example."

Getting back to the offended and "attacked" Spiritual Guru, in my opinion, instead of offense directed at the offending conservative columnist, he should have first sent her a very sincere "thank you" note for the added spotlight she gave him.  He then could have used it as leverage to contact the same major cable news station and many other TV stations and media outlets to further state his position in regard to his extremely valid opinion regarding the "root cause" theory of terrorism, an important theory that currently gets very little voice in the mainstream media instead of choosing to give a "fuller and more personal response" to a meaningless critique.  

For this Spiritual Leader to more creatively utilize the wonderful platform given to him by this conservative leading newspaper columnist's column.  I'm mean...which response is more important to the people who truly matter...the past, present and future victims of terrorism?  

This is yet another example of us each "creating our own reality", via our chosen perceptions.  The Spiritual Guru saw the conservative columnist's column as an offense against him to be exhaustively addressed to repair whatever damage he perceived was done to his professional reputation and I see the exact same situation as a "Gift" or an Opportunity to be used to get this alternative yet very valid viewpoint out to the public via the mainstream media to open and encourage very much needed debate and dialogue on the very serious issue of the true underlying causes of terrorism. 

What it basically comes down to is if we are truly serious about helping to birth a New World and a New Consciousness, we don't have time to be taking things personally, becoming offended, or defending silly falsehoods. We have work to do, people! 

We don't have time to become outraged over unimportant things and I make the contention that anything outside of your message or mission is totally unimportant.  This is not a time for wounded pride, fragile egos, or defensive rhetoric...thank you very much!  We have to begin to utilize our egos "constructively" versus destructively.  That CAN be done, you know!

We have to keep our eyes on the prize aka on our Mission and Purpose, particularly if it supports creating the New World and never take our eyes off the prize in spite of whatever nonsense gets thrown in our way...nonsense that, by the way, just may be a silver lining in a dark cloud, which I feel the above situation involving the Spiritual Leader most definitely was. 

This, of course, takes due dilligence and practice, but please take to heart, this is a fact of life for EVERYONE as the above Spiritual Leader so clearly proved, (in my opinion.)  I suggest we all take a page from our New President and just "brush the dirt off your shoulder"...and move on with our Life's Mission and Purpose aka "The Plan!"

I remember when my oldest daughter Heather, came home from school when she was in the first or second grade upset and crying.  I asked her what was wrong and Heather proceeded to tell me all of these horrible and mean things some girls in her class said about her.  I listened patiently and then I looked at her and asked her "Well, is what they said about you true?"  Heather looked at me horrified and said NO...of course not, while looking at me with anger and offense for even asking the question. 

I then simply asked Heather...

"Well, why are you upset about it then?  I can see if it was true, you being upset because they found out your little secret but since you know it is not true, why be upset about it?" 

And Heather actually got it...and she was only 5 or 6 years old!  (She began first grade at 5 years old.)  She thought for a moment and said "yeah, you're right Mom" and then got angry with herself for becoming upset about things that she knew were untrue about her.  She never had a problem with those girls again and Heather still to this day, at 22 years old, reminds me of this childhood remembrance.

This also reminds me of something that I had heard when I was a teen-ager growing up in Chicago, while watching a PBS Special featuring the Motivational Speaker Les Brown.  Les was recounting how when he was a child, he was labeled early by teachers to be  "learning disabled" and he had believed this about himself throughout his childhood until he came across one particular teacher. 

This teacher asked him to do something, and when Les told the teacher he could not do it because he was "learning disabled" the teacher looked him straight in the eyes and told him, "Son, someone else's opinion of you does not have to become your reality."  And with those simple yet very true words, from this very wise teacher, a child's perception of himself was immediately altered and his life was changed.    

Back to the offended Spiritual Guru, from my perspective, if you take offense of things that you know are not true about you, or which are totally irrelevant, in my opinion, this says more about the work you need to do on yourself then it says about the person attacking you.  If you want to get really deep about it, that could be the precise reason for the attack, to enable you to do that much needed work on yourself.  That was definitely the case in Obama's situation. 

Anyone who watched some of the really early debates during the presidential primaries knows that Obama did not start out as polished and commanding as he clearly was during his debates with McCain.  Obama evolved into a great Presidential contender and the attacks he received from Hillary Clinton helped him to do that. 

By the time the match up between Obama and McCain began, the voters had already heard all of the arguments, smears and criticisms against Obama...because Hillary had already leveled them, and with great relish too!  If I had to guess, I believe that this was a part of the reason that Obama offered Hillary the Secretary of State position, the most treasured position a President Elect can offer, out of sheer gratitude to Hillary. 

I believe that Obama "gets it"...and guess what?  He did not need to "follow" any Spiritual Leader, Guru, Philosophy, etc., attend workshops, retreats, cruises, take spiritual classes,  engage in intense spiritual study or follow any spiritual regimines, diet or otherwise, in order to "get it".  Obama simply "get's it" from within...and then he lives it!  This is the true definition of Authentic Living.

This brings me to an interview that the Chicago Sun Times Newspaper's Religion Reporter conducted with Obama right after he won his Senate race in 2004.  I believe that this interview was very telling for many reasons in regard to the TRUE source of Obama's core spirituality and I would just like to include an excerpt from the interview here to further make my overall point.  I am going to highlight his words or points that I feel connect with my own overall point within this writing and give the reasons why:

Interviewer To Obama: Do you pray often?

Obama: Uh, yeah, I guess I do.  It's not formal, me getting on my knees.  I have an ongoing conversation with God.  Throughout the day, I'm constantly asking myself questions about what I'm doing, why am I doing it.  One of the interesting things about being in public life is there are constantly these pressures being placed on you from different sides.  To be effective, you have to be able to listen to a variety of points of view.  You also have to know when to be just a strong advocate, and when to push back against certain people or views that you think aren't right or don't serve your constituents.  The biggest challenge, I think, is always maintaining your moral compass.  Those are the conversations I'm having internally.  I'm measuring my actions against that inner voice that for me is audible, is active.  It tells me where I think I'm on track and where I'm off track.  I always think of politics as having two sides.  There's a vanity aspect to politics, and then there's a substantive part of politics.  Now you need some sizzle with the steak to be effective, but I think it's easy to get swept up in the vanity side of it, the desire to be liked and recognized and important.  It's important for me throughout the day to measure and to take stock and to say, "Now am I doing this because I think it's advantageous to me politically, or because I think it's the right thing to do?  Am I doing this to get my name in the papers or am I doing this because it's necessary to accomplish my motives?"

Interviewer: Checking for altruism?

Obama: Yeah.  I mean, something like it.  It's interesting, the most powerful political moments for me come when I feel like my actions are aligned with a certain truth.  I can feel it. When I'm talking to a group and I'm saying something truthful, I can feel a  power that comes out of those statements that is different than when I'm just being glib or clever.

The above interview excerpt so clearly illustrates to me the power a person can have when they come from their own unique truth and inner power and continuously align with it.  It also demonstrates that Obama realizes that true prayer is NOT a separate spiritual practice or something that you do which is consciously separate from your minute by minute daily actions.  Obama realizes that you live every moment spiritually, meaning your whole life is in effect a spiritual practice or a prayer.  Prayer is not a spiritual practice with him but a "way of being".  Obama's continuously going within to "check himself" to make sure that he is adhering to his own "moral compass", what I believe is in essence, his soul, is "living spiritually" aka living in continuous alignment with his spirit, versus engaging in outside regimented, (and in some instances outdated), spiritual practices. 

I also think it was very telling from his answer when he connected having an ongoing conversation with God to him constantly asking HIMSELF questions, him constantly going within internally...not outside of himself to a separate, more "enlightened" person to follow or model.  Obama knows the "real deal" which is not only true for him but true for EVERYONE, ladies and gentlemen.  He knows where his truth comes from and that it has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with anything or anyone outside of himself.   And there in lies the REAL secret to Obama's success.  Like I stated earlier, this guy "get's it".

Here is another excerpt from the interview which I found telling for a whole other reason:

Interviewer: What's that power? Is it the Holy Spirit? God?

Obama: Well, I think it's the power of the recognition of God, or the recognition of a larger truth that is being shared between me and an audience.  That's something you learn watching Ministers.  What they call the Holy Spirit.  They want the Holy Spirit to come down before they're preaching, right?  Not to try to intellectualize it, but what I see is there are moments that happen within a sermon where the Minister gets out of his Ego and is speaking from a deeper source.  And it's powerful.  There are also times when you can see the Ego getting in the way, where the Minister is "performing" (my quotation marks), and clearly straining for applause or an Amen.  And those are distinct moments.  I think the former moments are sacred."

I personally found this excerpt very useful and enlightening because Obama has observed the EXACT same thing that I myself have observed, which I believe is part of the overall flaw in the entire Spiritual Community/Church model...being able to KNOW when a Minister is coming from Source, totally and completely connected to God and out of his Ego...and also being able to know when he is clearly not. 

Like Obama said, the "in ego" moments are very distinct, (at least to the more evolved observer), and the "in God" moments are very sacred.  The REAL problem is that most people attending the church or Spiritual Community seeking authentic and true spiritual guidance "from God" cannot tell the difference between the "in God" moments and the "in Ego" from the Minister aka the performing moments. 

I found it very interesting that Obama observed the EXACT same thing that I did and is obviously able to separate and distinguish between the two.  It also seems like he also realizes that this is an obvious "flaw", particularly since he labeled one "distinct" and the other "sacred".  This means that he sees them both as being very important...but for totally different reasons.  

Which is all the more reason why I will continuously make the case in this very writing that turning within, turning inward instead of continuously focusing outward to something or someone outside of YOU, is the ONLY way to access REAL and unadulterated truth....particularly in regard to living your own life.

We are not here to model, to duplicate, to copy, to follow anyone else, ladies and gentlemen!  We are here to first Remember and then to just be our true selves.  Obama only follows himself...what comes from within him, and in doing so he automatically gives others permission to do the same, without feeling the need to "teach", preach, tell or dictate how another should live.  Obama DOES teach but without trying to, which is the best kind of teacher. 

He just "walks his talk", lives his truth, implements and follows his vision...no matter what outside of that vision shows up.  He lives authentically.  Obama is truly an example of a Leader who "leads by example".  Ultimately, leading by example is what we are ALL here to do...the example being living our own individual, unique and authentic truth.

Back to the attacked Spiritual Leader above, using Obama as an example, it really only becomes about the person who is attacking you if you are able to "transcend" or "rise above" the false attack aka like our new President. That's why all of Hillary's and then McCain's attacks backfired and became about THEM, the character THEY were displaying and the tone of THEIR campaign because Obama transcended all attacks against him simply by staying true to himself and his vision...by remaining authentic and not taking things personally." 

This is an example of the real part that we all play in each others lives, acting as a mirror or a barometer to where we each really and truly are consciously, which is what Obama did for Clinton, McCain, and many others.  Once we can get to the point of being able to "brush the dirt from our shoulder" and move on with the REAL DEAL of stating and living our truth, no matter what may be thrown at us, the sooner we can focus and just do what we came here to do, which is to discover and live our life's mission and purpose.  

But that above mentioned barometer is essential, even in regard to Spiritual Leaders, Gurus, Ministers, etc. who may falsely believe they have already transcended into a certain level of consciousness.  And this can be clearly deciphered by a keen observer observing some of the most simple and basic things.

A good example is of the brilliant Spiritual Minister who preaches the words, "we were never born and will never die" yet this same beloved Minister has such a fear of revealing something as meaningless as his actual chronological age to his Spiritual Community, that he goes to great and extraordinary lengths to keep it a secret, even going to the extreme of lying about his wife's true age and refusing to reveal the age of his adult son on his son's birthday. 

Or the Powerful Spiritual Leader who takes the stage and preaches the words, "if God is for us, nothing is against us" and is so clearly immersed in Universal/God Energy as he speaks these powerful words, yet this same inspiring and eloquent Leader will surround himself with bodyguards the moment he steps off that same stage where he just made that powerful and very true declaration. 

Or the Spiritual Leader who begins to buy into his own hype to believe he is some how "special" or "annointed"  and knows the "absolute truth" OR, as referenced in the Obama quote above...a Spiritual Leader who is totally or in part coming from Ego.

Ladies and Gentlemen, this points to many things, least of all that there is a HUGE difference between words and implementation, between teaching or stating something that could be considered a "philosophical theory" and authentically living or "being" the theory behind the words being spoken. 

It's NOT the same thing! 

This now brings to my mind the question of the real and TRUE impact, below the surface, at the deep, soul level of people/followers who listen to these sermons and lectures, if even the Spiritual Leader or Minister who is directly receiving this wisdom to relay to you is not "walking his own talk" from the wisdom received through him...or is not "practicing or acting on what he himself preaches." 

This would, of course, include what goes on with this Spiritual Leader outside of the spotlight of the public eye, behind closed doors, "the pretense versus the true reality."  Is it REAL...or is it Memorex aka just make believe?

I truly believe this demonstrates one of the real flaws in the whole entire premise of the current Spiritual Community theory, as well intentioned and meaningful to some as it may be, because as I will make the case further in this writing, there comes a point when you "get" the message and move on yet many people fail to "get" or to begin living the message, which is the reason why they feel they need to continuously and unceasingly immerse themselves within the same message over and over again, long term. 

The message is obviously not connecting permanently on the soul level for some reason.  If it had connected permanently at the soul level, the "need" to attend would automatically cease.  The obvious question would have to be...why is that?  Could it be that it is not that person's message to connect to?

This is just yet another reason why I say that we should never become followers to anyone, because we ALL, Spiritual Guru's, Teachers, Ministers, Authors, Speakers, Ministers, etc. included, are on a unique and individual journey through life and we all still have much to discover and learn, but what we learn which is most beneficial on our evolutionary journey, although very helpful and beneficial under many circumstances, it for the most part does not come long term from books, retreats, classes, cruises, conferences, conventions, lectures, etc.  

It mostly comes from our day to day dealings with life, our moment to moment dealings with other people, (the ones who challenge and disturb us as well as the ones who support us), our daily reactions to circumstances and situations, continuously questioning and checking our own moral compass, and most of all, from continuously going within our own selves, where ALL of our answers are waiting to be discovered.

I finally came to this realization based on my own personal experience, observation and inner guidance. I have never been drawn to take spiritual classes or specific spiritual study, nor to participate in spiritual retreats, seminars, cruises etc., even if I greatly admired and respected the teacher. I have good friends who are just the opposite.  It's really a matter of choice. Up until very recently, as an adult,  I had never belonged to or attended a church, spiritual community or followed a religion or philosophy of any kind. 

In 2006, for the first time in my adult life and for a little more than the period of a year, I began to attend, on a very regular basis, a wonderful New Thought Spiritual Community that I loved and still consider myself a member of.  This really threw me for a loop because this was totally outside of my worldview of what spirituality truly was, somewhere outside of me.  I was just captivated and did not know exactly why. 

I did eventually and finally realize that the Spiritual Director/Minister of this community is someone whom I felt a very deep and profound affinity and soul connection/kinship with and it was this affinity and connection which drew me there like a magnet....totally out of the blue.  I also have many great and lovely friends who still actively attend this Spiritual Community. 

While I attended the Community very regularly and devotedly for a little more than a year, I received a tremendous trigger and a HUGE activation, which I strongly believe, (No, I know), was totally "soul planned".  That activation was the beginning process of the creation of this "idea" called The Secret Wealth Network.

I have immense gratitude for this beloved community, because, among many others reasons, it was there where I received the initial inspiration to create this unique and revolutionary website and business concept.  However, after a little more than a year of attending very regularly and devotedly, I hit a wall or a plateau and I began to feel that I had received all that I had come there to receive in regard to the community's actual message.  

This sudden realization was one of multiple important reasons that I then chose to cease attending this community.  In regard to the actual message, although it was extremely life changing, significant and vital to me, it had also begun to become very repetitive, and in some aspects, boring.  I already fully understood and had absorbed the parts of the message that resonated with me in consciousness and I felt that I had "gotten it" in regard to all I had come there to discover and learn from the message and knowledge I received but... 

I eventually realized that there was only so many times that you can hear the same theme and message over and over again before the message eventually resonates with and becomes a part of your consciousness and then it's time to graduate to the next level...that is if you are truly evolving! 

I also finally figured out the true reason why I was suddenly motivated to attend a spiritual community of any kind for the first time in my adult life, but that's a whole other story.  Once I made this significant discovery and realized that I had received all that I had come to receive from the message, my need to be there every single week simply vanished.  Many pieces of a puzzle I had been trying to solve quickly fell into place.

"Any human being who is becoming independent of conditionings, of religions, scriptures, prophets and messiahs, has arrived home.  He has found the treasure which was hidden in his own being."

The message of this Spiritual Community focused on the knowledge and premise shared extensively on this website, which is that the Universe/God is not separate from us and that we are all ONE with the Universe/God. 

This Spiritual Community also advocated us remembering and awakening to who we truly are, to connecting to our innate divinity, to activating our Genius Code, Vision and Creativity, and then once activated, to then deliver the gifts that we were born to give to the world, aka our "reason for being". 

This was all truly wonderful and life changing for me, but, again, I realized that there comes a point and time when you eventually "get" the message and then you must move and act on what has been activated in you, when you have to move onward and upward and begin to take direct action towards fulfilling your mission in life. 

I liken the message of the spiritual community to being your "training wheels" before you graduate to the big kid's bike...the big kid's bike being connecting with your own inner truth and wisdom!  

You don't keep riding with training wheels on forever do you?

Through my many friendships and acquaintances at this beloved spiritual community, I discovered that many people who attended there were there to be uplifted and to feel good but were stuck in that  "feel good mode" that they received each time they attended, while not really taking bold and constructive action in their day to day lives towards their mission and purpose and were therefore not truly implementing and living the message.  I realized that they had become stuck. After a great deal of evolution initially, their lives had hit a wall and become static.

Their personal lives were troubled and, in some cases, in a great deal of confusion and turmoil, but their regular, loyal and continuous attendance at this spiritual community made whatever was going on in their personal lives "bearable".  I call the space that many of these wonderful souls reside in "Spiritual Limbo". 

They had replaced one illusion with another illusion which made them feel like they were moving up on the evolutionary path, but in reality they were not.  A HUGE red flag that you are not as far up on the ladder of evolution as you believe yourself to be or that you are possibly "stuck" there is if you have to continuously go to some specific place or atmosphere in order to feel "connected to spirit", which in actuality means to feel "connected with yourself."   

The notion that you have to go to a place outside of yourself in order to truly feel connected to spirit is a tragic illusion which not only totally stops or stunts your spiritual evolution but it also keeps you further disconnected from who you truly are.  How else could this be otherwise if you are under the false belief that spirit is something you go outside of yourself to connect to versus the truth which is that spirit can ONLY be connected to from within?

"Rejoice and give thanks the day that you evolve beyond the need to continuously attend a Church or a Spiritual Center.  You will have stepped into the wonderful awareness that your "spiritual center" is within, nothing external is needed to connect you to it, it has all the wisdom you could ever want or need, and you carry it with you everywhere that you go."

There, of course, had been tremendous evolution, insight and revelation in the beginning of attending the spiritual community, but at some point of continuously and unceasingly attending any spiritual community; which even with a life changing message, eventually becomes a repetitive and limited environment or any spiritual environment where you subconsciously can never see yourself evolving beyond the person on top, you inevitably hit a brick wall or reach a plateau in your spiritual remembrance and spiritual growth and you cease expanding.  The plateau is like yelling "time out!" to Evolution.  This, of course, is not the intention, but is, nevertheless, the result.

In essence, the Spiritual Community had become a "coping mechanism", a crutch or security blanket for many people and as a result of this fact, the vast majority of the regular and habitual attendees were stuck and had allowed themselves to become static, limited, complacent and were tremendously afraid to take the leap into the unknown of their true destiny and life's purpose.  I liken it to kids who reach adulthood but who are too afraid to leave home and "let go" of their parental figure to embark out on life on their own.  I call it "perpetual adolescence".

Their loyal and unceasing patronage at the Spiritual Community had essentially become their life, instead of their focus being where it truly belonged, which is moving onward and upward the evolutionary path and, most importantly, making the life purpose and mission that they had incarnated here with their number one priority.

"There is one thing in this world which you must never forget to do.  Human beings come into this world to do particular work.  That work is their purpose, and each is specific to the person.  If you forget everything else and not this, there is nothing to worry about.  If you remember everything else yet forget your true work,  then you will have done nothing with your life."

Now that's what I call "keeping it real!" No sugar coating...just getting right to the truth of the matter!  I absolutely LOVE the above quote from the Early Spiritual Teacher, Rumi, because he just tells it like it is!  He clearly speaks the truth and what should be obvious to many on the path.  For example, you can regularly attend your spiritual community for years and years while doing your daily prayers and meditations, going to spiritual classes, doing your regularly planned sacred service...participating in all of these wonderful things, in addition to working your day job/profession, spending time with family and friends, and this could easily take up your whole life. 

To the average observer this would all look good on paper right?  Just because it looks good, does not mean that it is good, particularly for your soul.  What Rumi is basically saying in the above quote  is that we all were born with a purpose or mission, which is our life's work, and that purpose or mission comes above all else! 

"The two great tragedies in life are not knowing your purpose...and once you do...not living it each and every day."

You don't live your purpose or mission just for you, you live your purpose or mission because, whatever it is, benefits others in some wonderful and unique way and this makes it a vital part of the Whole...the overall Divine Plan. I would even go so far as to say that to not do everything possible to live your dreams and to follow your life's purpose and mission is a result of experiencing one of three things:  feeling unworthy, being fearful or just being selfish. To quote Rumi again,

"If you remember everything else yet forget your true work, then you will have done nothing with your life." 

He even says: "If you forget everything else and not this, (your purpose or life's work), there is nothing to worry about."   

What Rumi is rightly pointing out is that our purpose, mission and life's work takes precedence over EVERYTHING.  Nothing comes before it....No - Thing!   Your Purpose, Mission, Life's Work comes FIRST, not second, third, fourth, as an afterthought or if you have time.  So again, if, for example, you are following the dictates, practices or tenants given to you by another individual, philosophy, religion, etc. above or in place of living your life's mission and purpose...you are, most definitely, on the wrong track! 

We are all different, unique and individual aspects of God/Creator.  What does God/Creator do?  

God Creates! 

"You have come here to this lifetime, to this experience, not to prove yourself worthy of any God or Higher Power, but to CREATE.  You have come forth to use the Universal Laws of Creation in your day to day life."

That is what we are all here to do...Create.  We are here to create according to our heart's desire, what brings us joy and makes our heart sing, the work that we would lovingly and joyfully do for Free if all of our needs were already met elsewhere. 

That, by the way, is one of the MAIN purpose's of The Secret Wealth Network...to provide you with just that ability!

So do not fool yourself, confuse yourself or live in a self created "illusion" that you are living a "spiritual life" if you do not put your life's purpose and mission, your reason for being front and center in your life.  The most spiritual life you can live is a life dedicated to your life's work, your purpose, your mission because once your life is dedicated to your purpose or "reason for being" you instantly align yourself with Spirit/Source/Creator/God, and nothing can be more spiritual than that.

In other words, you will become Creator/Spirit In Action!

"Although valuable in the beginning of your journey, as you ascend further up the evolutionary path, you will eventually evolve beyond the need to partake in daily spiritual practices and tenants to connect you to Spirit.  Spiritual Practice will subside because you will suddenly awaken to the fallacy of "practicing" to be Spiritual. You will move into the awareness that Spirit is who you already are, more than anything else, and all that is required of you is to just BE.  You will then simply step into this space, and begin to live each moment from this eternal truth and consciousness.  When this happens, you will have awakened to the remembrance of who you truly are and who you have always been.  This is the true meaning of Self Realization."

Another cause for reflection regarding my former Spiritual Community is that although the message was truly revolutionary and was not in any way similar to what is traditionally known as "church", or what I term "organized religion" or "religious dogma", just as in all traditional religious structures aka churches, my Beloved Spiritual Community was basically a pyramid or hierarchy structure, with one person at the top, (who is seen to have all the knowledge), then there is another level of what is in essence the "Elites" of the community, other ministers, high level practitioners and long term members which had the greatest power within the community and access to the person at the top.

Then there is another level which is called the "Spiritual Practitioner Core", who are individuals who are required to participate in a number of years of classes which are comprised of specific study, which is chosen by the spiritual leader, in order to "advance" upward in the spiritual community.  A separate group is what I call the"VIPs" which basically make it into this group based on their fame or fortune in the material world, who receive special attention and consideration, in regard to parking, seating, etc. 

To be totally honest, the questioning that I had with this aspect of the Spiritual Community, (which I want to say again that I still totally love and respect and consider myself still a distance member of), did not fully hit me consciously until several months after I stopped attending, but looking back in hindsight, I know that it was having a huge impact on me on a subconscious level, particularly as I evolved more and more. 

It took me stepping away from it, which immediately expanded my mindset beyond the Spiritual Community's doors, to actually see this "hierarical" and very limited and distorted aspect of it for what it really and truly was.  As I expanded, my spiritual reflection only grew and grew.  As did my divine discontent.  One reason out of many is because I wholeheartedly agree with the quote from Eric Francis which states,

"As long as you have a hierarchy of ideas that were set by someone else, it will be difficult to see your own personal truth."

In hindsight, I realize that the overall purpose for my attending this community was to activate me towards taking the next very critical step in my life purpose and mission, in addition to another extremely important soul based activation and remembrance.  In this regard, it served it's wonderful purpose and my heart is filled with immense gratitude and love for all and who I discovered there. 

I still love this community, have many friends who still attend there and I still greatly support the overall message and the community's basic mission, but it was time for me to "leave home" and move to my next evolutionary stage, which required me taking action and discovering what I was truly made of...first touching, then living, and eventually owning my newly discovered brilliance.  

In other words...It was time for this butterfly to fly!

"Re-examine all you have been told in school or church or in any book, and dismiss whatever insults your own soul.  It is also not consistent with the reality of the soul to admit that there is anything in the known Universe more divine than men and women.  The Master knows that he is unspeakably great and that ALL are unspeakably great.  There will soon be no more Priests.  They may wait a while, perhaps a generation or two, dropping off by degrees.  A superior breed shall take their place.  A new order shall arise and they shall be the Priests of man, and every man shall be his own Priest."

Could Walt Whitman possibly be describing the currently evolving New Paradigm?

I think he was!

My Beloved Spiritual Community has not only played a beneficial and significant part in my life but in the lives of many, many others, but it has now come to a point and time in human history for ALL New Spirituality/New Thought/ Progressive Spiritual Communities to move and to evolve beyond:

• The "old paradigm thinking" and practices of a pyramid, hierarchy structure, status conscious model or a limited and organized structure of any kind, that you must attend regularly in order to truly tap into "who you really are". 
• The totally false idea that limitless growth and evolution can occur within an orchestrated, organized, pyramid type structure or hierarchy of any kind.
• The fallacy that someone outside of you has all of your wisdom and truth, whom you must continuously and regularly depend on for your spiritual compass and direction, (even if the message from the teachings say the exact opposite),
• The entirely false concept that being spiritual requires doing a lot of  "spiritual work and study".  The ONLY thing that the continuous and single-minded study of a specific teaching or philosophy does is "crystallizes" you within that idea or mindset and makes it that much more difficult, if not impossible, for you to be free, progressive, open minded and liberated.  In reality, becoming aware of who you already are, requires the exact opposite of work or continuous and unceasing study, it just requires surrendering to what is REAL, the real you!  Surrendering is the exact opposite of "work".  When you go with the flow in alignment with where the Universal Energy is taking you...there is no work, there is no effort.  It is the most natural thing that you can do, to surrender, to let go, and to release...to just "go with the flow".  Any difficulty that arises is related to you giving power to your ego or the illusion, instead of focusing on the REAL.  In fact, the only work that you will engage in, is when you are needlessly empowering your Ego instead of surrendering to what's real or if you are moving in resistance to the Universal Force/Energy.  In other words, if it feels like work...you should change your game plan because "work" has nothing whatsoever to do with flowing with the Universal Force which governs our Universe aka God.
• The idea that there is a "cookie cutter" set or list of uniform and specific practices, tenants, classes, studies, OR... a "one size fits all" step by step system, model, outline,  etc., dictated by another individual, religion or philosophy, that one should or must follow to be considered truly spiritual, aka...to be what you already are more than anything else!
• The idea that your level of enlightenment is based on eating a certain diet or living a certain lifestyle, wearing a certain type of clothing, praying a certain way or a certain number of times, meditating a certain way, following any type of "spiritual regimine" or "to do list" dictated by another person, religion, philosophy, or the following of rules, dictates and regulations of any kind.  (I am sure that you have now gotten the picture that "following another" in any way, shape or form, is a no-no or is part of the increasingly fading "old paradigm.") Here is another one of my quotes to further make this point for you:  "Masters follow only themselves."  Pamela K. Jones  This is the ULTIMATE goal ladies and gentlemen, to evolve into the Masters we already are!
• And, last but not least, seeing ANY other person's spirituality or level of evolvement to be superior to your own.

For example, I recently came across a lecture given by someone in the New Spirituality movement titled, "Why The Dalai Lama Matters."  My immediate reaction was the thought "The Dalai Lama matters...as opposed to who?"  One of the MAIN messages that I would like to get across to whomever is reading this writing is...

EVERYONE MATTERS...YOU MATTER...WE ALL MATTER!

The implicit message and belief revealed in just the title of that lecture is the very logic that is disintegrating in these New Energies right as I am typing these words.  The false logic and the old paradigm fantasy that someone outside of you matters more than YOU.  The Dalai Lama, (or any other well known Spiritual Figure or Guru), is in reality, no better nor does he matter any more than any of you reading this writing.  The Dalai Lama incarnated or was born with a specific mission...JUST LIKE YOU WERE! 

Believe it or not, your mission and purpose is EQUAL to and just as vital to the world as the Dalai Lama's mission, or the mission of any other cult status Spiritual Figure or Guru.  Yeah...really!   With all due respect to the Dalai Lama, who I am sure is a nice and gentle soul, my issue is with the "old school", Old Paradigm mindset still held and still being promoted by many in the Human Potential/ New Spirituality Movement, that there are some individuals who are "annointed", who matter MORE than others, and who should be elevated or shown more deference than others.  The premise then becomes that we should FOLLOW these Evolved Souls who are surely much more evolved than you can ever hope or dream to be, right? 

WRONG! 

I might add that the question of a Guru's TRUE Evolution and Enlightenment can be debated, particularly if the truth of EVERYONES innate Divinity, and Equality within that Divinity, is not promoted, FIRST AND FOREMOST, by these well intentioned Messengers and Gurus...not only in words, but also in actions and deeds beyond the words. 

In other words, is the Guru or Messenger encouraging a open ended "dependancy" on the Guru and his message versus encouraging and promoting TRUE Liberation in the individual evolving to a point of eventually relying on his or her own inner voice and innate Divinity and Wisdom or stepping into the role of "becoming a Guru to themselves?"  The question for the Spiritual Guru or Messenger then becomes: Are you really "walking your talk?"

We are now moving into a new higher level of consciousness where spiritual practices, tenants, classes, etc. are losing their effectiveness because things are changing so rapidly.  Old spiritual practices and routines are now becoming obsolete and ineffective because a brand new world is birthing. (And, yes...many aspects of the New Spirituality/Thought Movement is most definitely becoming part of the "old paradigm" because of the nature of the evolving times we are in.)  Because of this fact, many practices and tenants that once worked beautifully for us, no longer work as effectively, particularly if you have been participating in these practices long term and indefinitely. 

News Flash Guys and Gals: EVERYTHING CHANGES & EVOLVES...even certain practices, tenants and techniques associated with the "New Spirituality/New Thought Movement"...which we must remember is a movement which began decades ago.  But the change is most definitely for the better!  The energies that are currently engulfing our planet are the most intense, most powerful energies that this planet has ever experienced....and they are only getting stronger!   

That "photon belt" that is spoken about in science is much more than it appears to be!  It has even been measured by science that the Earth is vibrating at a faster rate and that rate is getting faster.  Something is happening!  What does this all mean?  I believe one of the things it means is that we are moving into a space where we can simply choose to "Let Go" and "Go With The Flow" in total alignment and synergy with the incoming energies to move us into a higher state of consciousness.  In other words, there has never been an easier time than now to connect with Source...your Higher Self/Spirit/Source/God.

By going through the  "un-doing" process that Karen mentioned and "letting go" you can just simply step into it...your true authentic self!  How do you do this?  By simply following your heart wherever it may lead you and trusting where it is leading you...even if you have no idea where and even if it takes you completely out of your comfort zone.  It's being courageous and fearless enough to live in 100% integrity with your soul, surrendering and releasing all that is no longer resonating or in alignment with who and what you are and Trusting that God/Universe/Creator is and can only be guiding you to a place that is beyond your wildest dreams...even if it in the meantime "looks" like all hell is breaking loose!

How do you know when you have reached the point of being a "pretender to the throne" or "an emperor with no clothes?"  Well, if you are not  happy and living in complete passion, joy and enthusiasm in your profession and in ALL of your relationships and living authentically aka in absolute truth with no dishonesty, duplicity, hypocrisy or pretense in any part of your life...you are living totally out of integrity with your soul.  To be even more blunt, you are essentially DEAD and just "going through the motions!" 

I have witnessed this reality even from individuals who consider themselves or who have a reputation for Self Mastery.  It goes to illustrate just how far removed reputation can be from the actual reality of an individual.  Those who have chosen not to live authentically and align with their soul's purpose are likely going to face some major struggles and challenges within this New Paradigm.

Near the beginning of this web page there is a quote from Best Selling Author Peggy McColl included with a truly amazing Free Ebook offering from Peggy.  That quote is:

"Being is energy vibrating at the highest level." 

That is where we all are evolving towards now, "a state of pure being".  Of course, "being" vibrates at a much higher level than "practicing".  You do not need to practice to be who you are.  For example, in addition to several other spiritual practices, up until late last year, (2007), I would read daily a "Decree of Belief & Faith" which I had found and this decree truly resonated with me. 

There was an extremely difficult, painful and challenging situation in my life involving my youngest daughter which caused me to begin reciting this decree daily.  My very own "dark night of the soul".  It was for this specific situation that I recited the decree daily for.  I now realize that this extremely difficult and challenging situation was a critical and vital part of my Awakening Experience.

"Our Universe is a highly intelligent matrix of consciousness and knows exactly what you need in order to instigate your greatest Evolution and Awakening.  Whatever is showing up in your life RIGHT NOW is meant to be because the Universe is trying to wake you up."

This decree comforted me and had a truly healing effect on me and I benefited greatly from reading this decree along with my other daily spiritual practices and also my patronage at my beloved spiritual community and regular service at another important spiritual organization.  One day, I realized that I had not read the decree in a while and I wondered to myself why?  I did not figure it out immediately but what I now realize is that I did not "need" to read the decree anymore because I transcended the need for it. 

Had the difficult situation involving my daughter which caused me to begin reciting the decree changed?  No, it had not. The ONLY thing that changed was my "need" to say the decree.  I now realize that, somewhere down the line, I just went from holding onto belief to absolute "knowing"...which means I no longer "needed" to recite the decree daily because the words of the decree had become a permanent part of my consciousness, my very being.

"Knowing" like "Being" is vibrating at the highest level.  For example, I know I have brown eyes.  I never have to convince myself of the fact that I have brown eyes.  I don't have to have faith and belief in the fact that I have brown eyes.  I don't have to "practice" having brown eyes.  I don't have to meditate on the fact that I have brown eyes.  I don't have to pray affirmatively that I have brown eyes. I don't have to decree daily that I have brown eyes.

I know that I am a woman.  I don't have to have faith or belief that I am a woman.  I don't have to "practice" being a woman.  I don't have to do daily decrees, meditate on, or pray affirmatively on the reality that I am a woman. A million people could come up to me and, one by one say, "you are not a woman", and this would not make me waver, doubt or change the absolute fact that I am a woman because I AM, no matter what anyone says. 

That is the difference between "believing" and  "knowing!"

A belief can waver, fluctuate, change, be objected to, be doubted, challenged or debated.  Pure Knowing cannot be!  This is when what you KNOW is as certain to you as the next beat of your heart, the next breath that you take, the color of your eyes, your gender, etc.  There is no "practice" involved in knowing, there is just "Being".  

As I wrote earlier, regular spiritual practices, in addition to having faith and belief are very important parts of all of our spiritual journeys.  I personally would not be where I am now without them and I am eternally grateful for ALL that has helped me to advance on my path.  But if we are all truly evolving, there must inevitably come a time when "practicing" becomes "being" and when "believing" becomes "knowing".  

The Good News is that both "being" and "knowing" are about to become a LOT easier in the New Energy Paradigm!

The journey of ascending on the evolutionary path makes this inevitable.  It is said that the previous Age (Pisces), was the "Age of Belief" and the New Era (Aquarian Age) is the "Age of Knowing".  The nature of evolution demands that we don't become crystallized or become stuck doing anything continuously and indefinitely as a duty or habit, which is what many philosophies, teachings, religions, advocate and teach.  This is all the more reason why I KNOW that we can each individually find our own unique true wisdom and truth ONLY from within, at the soul level.  

"Christ was a Liberator from form Consciousness.  He came, along with the Buddha, to teach the way of right thinking.  He came to teach the Pharisees the difference between acquired knowledge and knowing from one's being."

The value of "knowing" versus "believing" and "being" versus "practicing", makes a HUGE difference in determining where you really and truly are on your spiritual journey, and what's interesting is that life has a way of challenging where some may "perceive" themselves to be on their journey. 

Some may perceive themselves, and in some circumstances may have built a reputation, that centers around them being highly evolved or enlightened, beyond where they truly are in reality.  Life's  "wake up call" to these unsuspecting and well intentioned people reminds me of the title of one of my favorite songs from the 80s by the Rock Musician, John Cougar Mellencamp.  

The song title is..."When The Walls Come Tumbling Down."  

This all brings me to one of my most favorite quotes from Spiritual Mystic Evelyn Underhill: 

"You can only behold that which you are.  Only the Real can know reality."

Oh, how I love that quote!  This quote truly separates the truth from the illusion...and also the quality of "being" versus "practicing" and "belief" versus "knowing".  Life has a way of bringing us transformational and life changing circumstances and situations, chaotic situations and inner revelations which usually turn our entire world or "our perceived truth" upside down and which directly challenge our very being.  Some term these transformational periods as "the dark night of the soul".  

In reality they are spiritual awakenings which are in reality the greatest blessings life could ever give you.  How we handle these transformational periods in our lives determines whether we are living from the Real or living in illusion, with spirit showing "tough and uncompromising love" to help us to "wake up" to our illusion and get on the path to the Real ASAP. 

I had this very experience with my own "dark night of the soul", which, as I mentioned previously, involved my youngest daughter.  I had to choose to come from the Real or from the illusion.  Guess which one I chose...without really even knowing that I was choosing or that there was an actual choice to make? The Spiritual Teacher, Allen Stacker, gives a great definition of what it truly means to live from the Real, (versus living in a self created illusion), particularly in the New Energy Paradigm:

"Being real is being wide-open and honest.  It's speaking our truth, walking our talk, and living our love.  No secrets, No ulterior motives, No spiritual ego.  When we are Real, we emanate clean, undistorted energy.  We can be trusted.  In times of great crisis, (aka dark night of the soul), we instinctively become very Real for each other.  We are at our greatest and most noble - impromptu.  During such times, there is No pretense, duplicity, hypocrisy, illusion or delusion.  No duality.  In the New Energy, we are not Real just in times of comfort or crisis, and we don't turn it on just when it's convenient.  We just live there all of the time."

Humanity as a whole is being guided to raise their consciousness, vibration, level of awareness, etc...and this includes all lightworkers.  The game is changing.  We are ALL required to "step it up a notch."  This certain and inevitable change requires new ways of thinking, progressing, being.  It's called Evolution, my friends! 

Each and every one of us is being called to evolve beyond our present state of awareness, and most definitely beyond "our same old routine".  This is a universal message for everyone...including all of the beloved members of the New Spirituality, Human Potential Movement.  We are ALL being called on to rise "higher".

Connecting this to and going back to the above mentioned "pyramid" structure of my beloved spiritual community, I realized that the message was in clear opposition and conflict with the model aka "message vs. model".  Although the teachings and overall message may be different and revolutionary in contrast to traditional spiritual communities or churches, how is the actual "model" as described above, different from what is traditionally referred to as "organized religion?"

If it is, indeed, taught that we are in actuality divine beings who represent the many unique and diverse aspects of God, then, (news flash!),  there is NO hierarchy, or limited pyramid structure housing one person at the top whom everyone receives all of their wisdom from and whom all others are seen as unequal to or incapable of rising beyond. 

There is no cookie cutter, "one size fits all", step by step formula or list of principles and tenants, that everyone must use, follow, and adhere to in order to graduate up the hierarchy, always stopping short of whomever resides on the next level. 

No, that's NOTthe way it works!

Another reason for pause is that the consciousness of everyone in the spiritual community inevitably becomes tied to or in sync with the level of consciousness and mastery of the person at the top, and any way you slice it, this is not a good thing.  For example, everyone on the spiritual path deals with inner struggles, conflicts, and soul based challenges, even if you are a Spiritual Teacher with decades of work and study under your belt. 

Everyone goes through their "ups and downs", their "ebbs and flows" while on the path.  It's all a part of the Soul's Evolution.  There is also the very real possiblity of becoming stuck at or below the same level of evolvement as the Spiritual Teacher, which again, is not a good thing.

"If you are not inner sustained, or self-sourced, you will be a vampire to something outside of yourself in order to feed the nature of your reality programming.  Or to feed the emotion or identity that has been held rigidly in place as an illusion of security or safety in these uncertain times."

If the person at the top of a spiritual community is going through an inner struggle, conflict or soul based challenge, (which usually amounts to a "death of the ego"or a "dark night of the soul"), or any kind of personal transformational period for him/her...OR if Ego, pretense, inauthenticity, etc. is in any way in subconscious control of this individual, then, in my opinion, the overall effect can potentially be seriously detrimental to the spiritual evolution of the members of the spiritual community at large.  This all has to do with how the law of attraction and the  "collective consciousness" truly operates.

*The following is being added after a great deal of this overall writing has already been completed because it has such great relevance to what you just read.  The following quote is something that I stumbled upon on August 25th 2008 from Astrologer Terry Nazon and has direct bearing of what came through me and then I wrote in this section of this web page:

"As the Jupiter retrograde in Capricorn is now within one degree of a trine with the planet Saturn in Virgo, we can all begin to feel the grounding energy of both planets.  One of the areas this trine will have tremendous influence is over teaching and responsibility in teaching.  Maintaining integrity, honesty, and keeping promises, will be things the public demands and holds everyone to, even politicians.  The passing on of knowledge to others like a teacher to a student, be it mathematics, religion, or astrology also are subject to the rules of both Jupiter and Saturn.  The passing on of hopes for a better future and hope in the fact that there is always a tomorrow, will be subject to the scrutiny of Jupiter and Saturn.

When you have or possess spiritual knowledge that you know will give others a sense of well being, that they too can pass along one day, you don't in any way mar or tarnish that knowledge with your Ego, because you could be affecting people you don't even know.  You could be harming the very people you want to help.  Creating the illusion of being a great teacher and using your knowledge to manipulate, and harm others hurts more people than you could count and the karma incurred is weighty.

Excerpt from Terry Nazon's August 24 - August 30 2008 Weekly Astrological Reading

This is so relevant on so many levels.  First, I believe that what Terry is describing when she writes this about the trine of Jupiter and Saturn in relation to all teachers:

"Teach with responsibility towards others in your mind first. Jupiter trines Saturn for the remainder of the year and this transit will influence us for years to come. It suggests that we are being grouped, categorized and judged, yes judged."

I believe that what Terry is describing in that specific quote, is EXACTLY what I wrote on this web page, (which was written months ago), about the Human Potential/New Age/New Spirituality movement and Lightworkers as a whole, in regard to them falling into two groups; the ones that are working with the energies of the New Paradigm versus the ones that are working with the energies of the Old Paradigm. 

I believe (correction, I know), that this is exactly what the meaning of this quote is and Terry just gave me the information about what planetary influence is guiding this process, which is the influence of the trine of Jupiter and Saturn. Terry's reading also validated or confirmed what I wrote on this web page above when it states,

"When you have or possess spiritual knowledge that you know will give others a sense of well being, that they too can pass along one day, you don't in any way mar or tarnish that knowledge or the transmission of the knowledge, with your Ego, because you could be affecting people you don't even know.  You could be harming the very people you want to help."

This is EXACTLY what I was raising a red flag about in my writing above when I wrote months ago the following:

"If the person at the top of a spiritual community is going through an inner struggle, conflict or soul based challenge, (which usually amounts to a "death of the ego"or a "dark night of the soul"), or any kind of personal transformational period for him/her...OR if Ego, pretense, inauthenticity, etc. is in any way in subconscious control of this individual, then, in my opinion, the overall effect can potentially be seriously detrimental to the spiritual evolution of the members of the spiritual community at large.  This all has to do with how the law of attraction and the "collective consciousness" truly operates."

I would like to reference one more quote from Terry's reading as quoted above:

"As we look out into the future, even to the year 2012, the great alignment, where will you be?  Will you be a Leader, a Teacher of the Masses, or will you be sitting along the sidelines, with your knowledge, and no one listening?  Decide right now where you see yourself in the future and get yourself and your priorities in order."

I think that this and Terry's expert analysis of the Jupiter and Saturn Trine, is the most important message on this web page in relation to Lightworkers, Teachers and all members of the Human Potential/New Spirituality Movement, which is why it has been included.  It's up to you whether or not you choose to heed it.

Moving back to the original writing...

Particularly with these intense New Energies which are currently coming into the Earth's atmosphere, which tends to magnify EVERYTHING, one must be extremely careful and discerning in this regard.  Also, for the record, the "plugged into" quote from Caroline Myss above particularly includes people you are personally connected to, like your spouse, family members, close friends, etc.  

If you think that your level and consistency of consciousness is not greatly affected by the level of consciousness of your close, intimate contacts, particularly in this New Energy,..think again!    

As Quantum Physics has proven, we are all Energetic Beings!  Our energy or vibration matches most closely in alignment with the energy/vibration of our closest contacts...regardless of how long we have been on the path!  Just something to consider, particularly if your energy, mood, consciousness, etc. is having significant flucuations now.  Detach and look objectively, (and with love and compassion), at your most intimate contacts. 

This is not to judge them or even to abandon any close contacts, but if the energy or comfort level between you and a certain individual has changed in a way that is not in alignment with who you are now or who you desire to be, (very common since we all are continuously changing), this simply means that a soul contract between you and that particular individual has completed and needs to either be seriously modifed or completely let go in love and appreciation for the soul growth that has taken place between you. 

You will know what choice to make based on the level of interest, enthusiasm, passion, happiness, etc. the particular relationship presently holds for you.  If it has diminished in any way...it is time to move on in love and gratitude, because enthusiasm, passion, happiness, etc is our natural (Creator) state and anything less is inauthentic and a total illusion.  Inevitably, this means that you have to "get real" with your soul.

"Change is not comfortable for most people.  We would rather have things be just so, and we'll do almost anything to keep them that way, including deny our own growth, health, liberty and sanity.  We will stay with people who we no longer love or barely care about.  We will keep jobs we hate.  Most of all, we will refuse to face our pain.  We'll do all of this for the "illusion" of stability.  Or maybe it's preserving the illusion of stability that protects us from the scourge of freedom."

We are at a very critical stage in human history right now.  Playtime is over.  There are no more dress rehearsals, it's time for everyone to take their places, the curtain is about to rise and the Play is about to begin.  We are at the stage where each human being is require to make a choice.  Within that choice, there is no gray area to straddle.  Not anymore.

In order for the New Thought/New Spirituality Communities of the Future to prosper and have any relevance in the New Paradigm, they must practice, in alignment in deed as well as words, the promotion and support of individuals coming into a true remembrance and awareness that they are truly limitless, created in the image and likeness of God, and infused with the God impulse. 

If they are going to have any relevancy in the New Paradigm, they must teach that the Seed of Mastership resides in every soul and that this can ONLY be discovered within, not outside of yourself by following another individual, doctrine or by adhering to any "one size fits all" plan.  

They also must come out from under the totally false illusion that "consciousness or spirituality can be taught in or outside of a school setting."  It cannot be.  For those who have created schools, classes or curriculums based on this fallacy, there needs to be a rethinking or a revisioning of this falsehood.

What also must be realized is it is not your long term patronage or position in the hierarchy of a particular Spiritual Community which takes you up the evolutionary path to Mastership or God Realization; it is your ability to transcend and evolve beyond the Spiritual Community, to release it and evolve beyond being dependent on or "needing" it and moving onward and upward on the evolutionary path into your own individual truth and remembrance of who you truly are and who you have always been.  

It's taking a gigantic leap and moving outside of the limited box of the Spiritual Community into your greater yet to be, while still having immense thanks and gratitude for the spiritual community for the important part that it may have played on your evolutionary path.

The case can be made that it is contradictory to on one hand teach the message to people at your spiritual community  "that they are here to remember who they are, that living intelligence flows through them, that they were created in the image and likeness of God, etc," and at the same time tell them, in actions and deeds, that they need to attend your spiritual community unceasingly and indefinitely, follow specific practices and tenants, take classes, etc. to advance up a structure or hierarchy within this spirtual community OR in order to really and truly be God/Creator!   Again, that is NOT the way it works!

Hold fast to Truth as a lamp; hold fast to the Truth as a refuge.  Look not for a refuge in anyone besides yourselves.  And those, who shall be a lamp unto themselves, shall betake themselves to no external refuge, but holding fast to the Truth as their Lamp, and holding fast to the Truth as their refuge, they shall reach the top most high."

Most of all, New Spirituality/New Thought Spiritual Communities in the New Paradigm will hopefully eventually realize that if they are truly fulfilling their service to mankind at this very critical time in human history, the individuals who attend these spiritual communities will not be encouraged to stay within the community indefinitely, limited and forever dependent in some way on the community. 

Ideally, the "New Paradigm" Spiritual Community will be encouraged to be a launching pad or a temporary "lay over" up the evolutionary ladder and individuals will be encouraged to evolve, leave, and fly into their own brilliance and truth once they are ready to claim their true Divinity, which should be encouraged above all else! 

Of course, this does not mean that you should totally abandon the spiritual community or cease attending on an occasional basis.  Like I have stated previously, I still consider myself to be a member of my Spiritual Community and in many ways still consider it to be my spiritual home base.  It and he who created it has a very special place in my heart and always will.  But...if you are truly evolving up the evolutionary path, the necessity to attend to hear the actual message will become less and less, until it is non-existent, and your patronage will NEVER come before or take the place of your life's purpose and mission.  

Never. 

If you choose to continue occasionally attending the community, your reasons for attending will evolve and change and will become more about kinship and comradarie, hooking up with friends and like minded souls, when the time allows, which is also very important, (that is until you evolve beyond the fallacy of the duality concept of "like minded souls"), but you will NOT continue to attend the Spiritual Community because of a dependence or perceived necessity to be there to access your regular "Spiritual Compass" aka the Message .  If you are truly evolving, your soul, in it's infinite wisdom, will eventually "take over" as your Spiritual Compass.

"As you evolve on the path to Self Realization, the need to regularly surround yourself with "like minded" souls will eventually disapate.  This is because you will evolve into the realization that ALL souls are perfect in whatever state of evolvement the soul happens to be in, so judgement to the contrary or any claim to "soul superiority" will cease.  Most of all, your contact with any particular soul will resonate exactly the same, not based on who the other soul is but based on the vibration and level of evolvement of your own soul.  As always, it all comes back to you."

I also want to make clear that I believe that, although the actual hierarchy and pyramind type "model" is severely flawed and outdated, the powerful and profound message, like the message that is shared at my Spiritual Community every week, is an extremely important and critical message for humanity to receive at this very critical and specific time in human history.  This is most definitely a "timely message for the masses".   There just now has to be a creative, futuristic and New Paradigm way developed in regard to sharing it. 

In fact, this message of Human Empowerment needs to spread and reach the masses a great deal MORE than it currently has, and this is why I believe the ULTIMATE goal should be how to get the message out to as many people as possible aka humanity at large, versus severely limiting the message to however many people can fit into a particular building, at a specific time and at a specific location on Sundays. 

It is time for the Creative Genius of the wonderful individuals leading ALL of these New Spirituality/New Thought Communities to be activated and to begin to think about the WHOLE...in other words, to "Think Big" versus trying to rehash what's already been done before by building or creating the next "mega church" to lead. 

Nor can you "label and contain" your church, center or "movement" because if it is coming from the REAL, it is something that can never be labeled or contained because the REAL is infinite and has no one label.  We won't even get into the total lack of originality and the total fallacy this game plan of "mega churches or mega communities" , (particularly if it is centered around one individual or "leader"),  would unfortunately highlight, in addition to the possible involvement of unconscious ego forces, but I will ask one very relevant and important question...

At this truly momentous stage in human history and evolvement, does humanity really need to "go backwards" via the creation of yet another "mega church" or "mega community"; a massive hierarchy built around a single individual who is believed to have all of their answers?  A hierarchy that enables individuals to basically be "spiritually lazy" and which prevents them from letting go, leaping, and finding the courage to delve deep within to their own soul for truth and wisdom because...

"Why do I need to go deep within when this inspirational messenger can give me my "game plan" to focus on via a "one size fits all" weekly topic? Why should I give up my "spiritual compass" who provides me with my directions and a ready made road map to follow every Sunday?"  And you're joking, right...ME actually having truth and wisdom comparable to this outstanding messenger deep inside of me that I can tap into whenever I want?  Get Real!  Besides, I have better things to do then...going within and trusting the wisdom that is deep within me.  And obviously, I don't even believe that there is truth and wisdom to trust deep within my soul which I can use to act as my own spiritual compass...if I did, I would not "need" to depend on this guy!  Now, go away and stop bothering me...you're making me think too much!"

Been there, done that my friends...not to mention that "Mega Churches and Mega Communities" are totally part of the "Old Paradigm Model".

I believe that there is most definitely a place for all sincere messages of Self Realization and Human Empowerment, whether the message is coming from a Minister, Author, Speaker, etc...or, (like me), someone who is simply sharing what they themselves have discovered.  It's just the idea, (or fallacy), of encouraging a limited and unceasing dependence on this message and model or advocating a specific path, list of tenants, road map or a ready made "one size fits all" outline or system to supposed Self Realization and Liberation that I strongly disagree with.

This is because it is in direct opposition to the Message of New Spirituality/ New Thought Spiritual Communities, the Energy of the New Paradigm and, last but not least, it's just "simply not real".  Hence, the title of this writing, "Only You Can Liberate You".

The ULTIMATE Goal should be to get this specific message of Self Empowerment out to help to awaken people to the true nature of their existence and their inherent divinity but to also Trust that once awakened, their soul, in it's infinite wisdom, will guide each individual on their own unique path to enlightenment and liberation. 

In other words, it is not for anyone else, no matter how celebrated or how long he/she has been on the path, to in any way dictate or instruct another's path or road to Self Realization and Discovery.  That is taking away the Power of the individual and not a message of TRUE Empowerment.  It is also very misguided. 

The IDEAL is to Empower others to also become Messengers via living by example by fulfilling their life's mission and purpose and by also sharing this message of Empowerment with one and then another and so on and so on...and to Trust that once the seed has been planted, as demonstrated every moment in nature, the universal or soul forces within each individual will take over and act accordingly to each individual's soul's divine plan.  This is using Geometric Progression in it's highest and most divine order.

In regard to ALL New Spirituality/New Thought Spiritual Communities, although the right message can tremendously  "activate" an individual and play a pivotal part on one's evolutionary path...there has to be an honest realization that there is absolutely no way for any individual to become Truly Limitless, Liberated, and God Realized by following the dictates, practices, tenants and teachings of another within an organized structure of any kind. 

In Order To Be Truly Authentic...Something Has To Change!

This is the ONLY thing that will bring true integrity, authenticity and meaning to the teachings of these various New Spirituality/New Thought Spiritual Communities in the New Paradigm.  Indefinite, long term and habitual spiritual patronage where everyone always stops short of whatever level is above them in a Spiritual Community is most definitely "Old Paradigm" thinking and practices.   

"When the Human who is sleeping awakens, there has to be a new book of wisdom.  How many of you carry around the books you used as children?  God never meant for instructions given in the Old Energy of yesterday to be carried around today, (in the New Energy), or used forever.  Does it make sense to you that Humans would have great spiritual change, yet their spiritual manuals would remain the same?"

Ironically, I have the truly wonderful and profound message that I willingly integrated and absorbed from my Beloved Spiritual Community to thank in part for my very important realization in regard to the evolving "New Paradigm" spiritual community model, in addition to many other vitally important realizations and remembrances. 

In spite of the contradictions and inconsistances that I previously noted, the message was totally "on point".  I really resonated with it and took the overall message very much to heart.  Many times while in the midst of a particular message, I felt like a switch had been activated and "turned on" inside of me or a complex code deep within me was being deciphered at the cellular level.

It caused me to make a gigantic leap into the unknown, and the transformational process is still unfolding and evolving because I am not limited within the box of an organized structure anymore, believing that someone else had more wisdom than me and whom I needed to receive regular guidance from...and the freedom beyond that limitation has been so wonderful and incredibly exciting, and also loads of fun!  

The fun part is discovering new and exciting things about myself on a continuous basis, which of course is me just remembering more and more of who I truly am.  Ultimately, this deep level of self awareness and self realization will NEVER come from another individual, within an organized structure or by following a certain philosophy, religion or Yogi...it all comes from within because, ultimately, only you can remember who you really are and why you are here!

Addendum: As an example of just how "in sync" and in alignment I feel with Universal Forces, I originally wrote the above writing, (in addition to all of my other writings on this website), with only a couple or no quotes included in the writings.  Most of the above quotes in the above writing, (like Terry Nazon's Astrology reading), were found or conceived AFTER the writing was completed.  And they were not found because I was looking for them either, they just came into my awareness via my work and research for this website. 

I look at this interesting footnote to be like the Universe was giving me confirmation for all that came through me in this and all my other writings, particularly since the Universe knew that I had issues in regard to "second guessing" myself, especially since the words came through me just as I was writing them, with no plan or outline being previously in place.  Interestingly, now I don't second guess myself as much anymore.  All part of the journey.   Blessings!

Summing up... in hindsight...

Knowing what I know now, if I had to do it all again...

I would... know that I CAN NOT have a spiritual awakening on my terms.
'I can't have my cake and eat it' as the saying goes. I would know that things will change
for me in many ways, including the loss of things and people near and dear,
and that I must be accepting of this regardless of how uncomfortable, disconcerting
and confusing (and often frightening) these changes may appear to be.

I would... know that contrary to everything I've been told about the spiritual enlightenment path -
all the heavenly peace and bliss etc, I was in for a rude awakening - of the highest order.

I would... never worry about a thing. All worry ever did for me was to reek havoc
on my physical body and throw it into imbalance and dis-ease... and never changed one other thing.

I would... never supplicate. As tempting as it can be in times of crisis, I would know that
begging and pleading to a supposed higher power supposedly someplace in the sky
does absolutely nothing... and only serves to remove me from the REAL God within.

I would... know that my needs would ALWAYS be met... WITHOUT FAIL.
Often at the last minute, and often from sources that I didn't expect, but WITHOUT FAIL.

I would... accept whatever was happening no matter what,
knowing that it's ALL in Perfect Divine Order, even the times of hellish chaos.

I would... never look to ANY old energy duality-based book, teacher or teaching - 
 the spiritual kind or the personal power/human potential kind,
for help, answers, comfort, insight, justification or validation.

I would... remember that if I was ever feeling great sadness, or worse, felt like I was dying,
it's because I WAS dying... dying to my old life and my old duality self.
And I would also remember... "The bigger the death, the bigger the rebirth!" 

I would... remember that I really CAN let go and trust; that the Divinity within CAN be trusted
and ALWAYS has my best and highest interests at heart.

I would... never fear the New and unknown as I know it's a lot safer and far more REAL
than the old and known.

I would... remember that for every one of my so-called problems along the way,
no matter how seemingly difficult, ominous or 'impossible', there IS a divine solution
that is grander and more profound than anything I could have imagined.

I would... never hold on tenaciously to people or things - including money.
I would gracefully let everything go that wanted to go and that needs to go
knowing that the New is not created from a mountain of clutter or built upon the past,
but is created from a void, from no-thing.
I would also remember that all this loss is ultimately an illusion and is always 'perfect to the purpose'

Each of us is connected with the Divine. The Higher Self within us far transcends the understanding of our conscious minds. This is the power that all the great geniuses and teachers of history have accessed. It is also the place of magic and miracle in our lives. Here are the seven key steps to contact it.
1. Belief & Expectation: Transform Your World View!

The first step is to BELIEVE that you have a Higher Self to establish communication with! Then EXPECT every day that this communication will improve as you focus diligently on inner growth. Without these two essential pre-requisites, it is hard to achieve anything at all in life, even on the physical level. For inner growth, these two qualities are essential. So set a GOAL to achieve contact with the Higher Self, review that goal daily, and maintain your purpose with determination until success is yours.
We are brought up with a primarily materialistic world view that neglects the role of Spirit. To establish close contact with spiritual realms, we need to have our entire being - conscious and subconscious - congruent with our goal. In any major activity/goal, you have to establish the rules of the game and the way it is played. Contacting your Higher Self is the same. Therefore, seek out writings and teachers that expand your understanding of the universe as fundamentally being a realm of Consciousness and Mind.

2. Solitude & Meditation

Make regular time for yourself where you can be totally alone. A quiet place is preferable. Just sit quietly with no expectations. Do NOTHING. This may feel very uncomfortable and strange in the beginning. Persist. You give time and space for the inner voice to make itself heard. It will do so either during that quiet time, or else during the events of the day. A synchronistic event will occur; someone will tell you exactly what you need to hear; you will get a sudden flash of insight. All the great geniuses of history have found times of regular solitude and silence for themselves. You should too.
In meditation, you work to discipline your mind and silence the internal chatter that constantly fill it. You create a pure vessel for the Higher Self to fill. Following your breath is an excellent meditation discipline, as is concentrating upon a candle flame. Or visualize a golden ball of light in your Solar Plexus that fills your whole body with energy and healing. There are many practices that you can study and use.

3. Journal

Record your feelings, emotions, dreams and insights every day in a journal. This will help you to come into closer contact with your inner intuitive depths. You can ask the Higher Self questions here, and then later on record whatever insights/answers you receive. If you do this regularly with belief and expectation, you WILL receive the answers you need.

4. Inner Dialogue

Conduct a regular inner dialogue with your Higher Self. For the next 40 days, decide to keep in contact throughout the day. Say to your Higher Self, "I know you are there and I want to get to know you and pay attention to you. Please begin to speak to me and guide my life" Don't worry if this dialogue is entirely one-way to begin with. Remember that you have been out of touch for decades. It takes a while to clear the cobwebs! Persist with this inner dialogue as if talking to a friend - chatting, asking questions, sharing your hopes - and begin to listen for answers. They will come.

5. Life Lessons

Look upon life as a Mystery School. Believe that the whole of your life - events, situations and people - has been structured PRECISELY in order to teach you exactly what you need to know right now. Approach life as if the whole of creation is conspiring to do you good! Whenever something happens in your life, for good or ill, ask yourself what the lesson is for you. Even unpleasant people/situations have been deliberately placed there as a challenge to help you grow. As you begin to view life as a drama in which you are play the starring role, the role of the Higher Self will become increasingly evident in your life. Record your findings in your journal.

6. Dreams

Expect your Higher Self to speak to you in dreams.  Before going to sleep, do some stretching and bending to relax your body completely. Ask your Higher Self a question and expect an answer. When you wake up, recall whatever you can of your dream and write it down in your journal. If you are not used to remembering dreams, this will take time and persistence. However, with patience, you will begin to recall your dreams AND receive answers from your Higher Self.

7. Mindfulness

Focus upon living more and more in the present, on the NOW. When you are eating, be aware that you are eating. When you walk, know that you are walking. The only real moment is now - the past is gone forever and the future has yet to be. Therefore, work to clear your mind of concerns, illusions and extrapolations. Clear the mental clutter from the mind and create space for the Higher Self to fill.
Patience Is The Catalyst To Progress!

Remember, you may have spent your entire life out of touch with Source. Therefore, it takes time to learn how to re-establish contact. Anything worth doing takes time and practice.
