| A Personal Note...
In 2007, I went to a Mind Body and Spirit Expo in Santa Monica CA where they were doing free aura photos for everyone in attendance. When I had my aura photographed, the picture showed that my aura was this intense shade of indigo blue.
I was curious about the meaning behind this and was told by the photographer that this meant that I had very strong leadership abilities, was intuitive and a visionary.
This sounded good and I soon forgot about my indigo aura until I stumbled across a website related to something called "Evolutionary Astrology" while doing research for this website.
On this astrology website, I came across a much more detailed explanation as to the meaning behind my "indigo blue" aura and I would like to share it with you:
"People with a strong indigo vibration or aura are associated with being "Spiritual Warriors". They are system busters. They are here to break down unjust and exclusionary dynamics, ideologies, systems, and hierarchies so that our structures can be re-created in a form that works for everyone.
They are "square pegs" and the cultural structures, ("the way things are"), are the "round holes". They were born not fitting in, and they understand on a deep level that "the way things are" is unacceptable as long as it works for some and not for others.
While other people go about their daily lives, unaware that anything is even wrong, people with a strong indigo vibration are simply unable to fit in and "go along". They just CAN'T because their intrinsic nature makes them unable to function within certain confines.
Indigo missions relate to going into systems and structures that are not working and trying to break them down, while attempting to bring the problems with the situation to light.
People who take on these missions must be very sensitive and intuitive, trusting their own perceptions even when people around them think they are "crazy". They have a strong will, an unshakable allegiance to themselves and to their inner guidance.
They have strong emotional empathy so that they can feel out complex problems and gauge danger. They have the traits of a warrior so they can go into extremely difficult, (often dangerous), situations and do the work that is there to be done.
They have x-ray vision and eyes in the back of their heads so they can see beneath the surface and understand ALL layers of a situation - physical, emotional, psychological, spiritual.
Often they are in situations where the powers-that-be are not too happy with what they are trying to do. Remember - the current structures work very well for some people!
People with the indigo vibration have intense powers of regeneration so they can process the negative energies they encounter and recover.
In an extreme sense, they would rather die than continue as things are, and many have risked or lost their lives doing work under this vibration, (people like Martin Luther King Jr., The Famous Five, the protester killed at Tiananmen Square, Michael Moore, etc. can be seen as using this vibration.)
Now, of course, not everyone lives this vibration on a day to day basis. Anytime someone sees something that doesn't work and tries to point it out to find a better way...the person is using indigo.
Anytime someone sees something they perceive as unjust and tries to do something about it.... that's the indigo vibe. Anytime someone goes beneath the surface and digs out a truth that other people don't see or don't want to believe is there...that's indigo."
I shared this definition of the indigo vibration with you because in 2007, at the time of this very writing, I "thought" I was within sight of an end to what has been the most challenging situation of my life and this definition of my indigo blue vibration describes the EXACT dynamics that I have been working with.
Now, almost at the end 2009, I have discovered that my indigo mission is a whole lot deeper and much more multi dimensional and complex than I could have ever imagined...BIG TIME!
This definition of my indigo aura has given me great clarity and insight into the motivation of my actions and why, if I had the chance to do it all over again, in spite of the pain, immense challenges and hardship I have endured over the past few years...I would do hardly anything differently.
The indigo vibration is also currently operating in several other areas of my life, but the other areas deal more so with the collective or "bigger picture." This very website is an offspring of that picture.
The last 3 years, in particular, have been truly AMAZING for me. They have been an exhilarating rollercoaster ride of self discovery, spiritual growth, self-evaluation, mind expansion, learning of lessons, deep a-ha moments, healing and transformation...while at the same time I experienced more pain, confusion, obstacles and heartache than I have ever experienced in my entire life. Yes, I do see the "seeming" contradiction in that statement. Since I was a teenager, I have deeply resonated with the following quote:
"Every adversity carries with it the seed of a greater benefit."
This mindset has served me well my entire life, particularly over the past few years, and made the absolute difference between carrying on and growing and thriving, in spite of all difficulties and obstacles...and giving up and crumbling.

Although I have enjoyed many great revelations, insights, discoveries and benefits over the past few years, my most valuable gift has been to, after almost a decade, to finally open my heart again to love and to also move towards loving unconditionally...not only the people who make my heart sing but the people who have presented me with my most difficult challenges.
Although I am not all the way there yet, I do see the light at the end of the tunnel, meaning the end is in sight. This is the most miraculous and amazing blessing of all!
I believe that we ALL have the indigo blue vibration particularly when it comes to aiding and fighting for a loved one, and we should always remember that we know in our heart and soul our own unique truth and what should be done and to follow our "inner compass" which will never lead us astray.
It can be extremely difficult, particularly when certain people you love do not understand, but even this is a blessing. This gives you a gauge as to who is in alignment or synchronicity with you in your life and who is not. Either a person "resonates" with your vibration, your heart and inner truth...or they don't.
If they don't, you just love them goodbye...with no hard feelings and genuine gratitude for the important lessons they have inevitably taught you. This mindset will also help you to attract people who are in resonance and in perfect synchronicity, alignment, and harmony with your heart and soul. This is another blessing as a result of using the Law of Attraction to your advantage!
If you identify with this writing in some way, you want to attract people in your life who live life with passion, with purpose, with truth and integrity....people who own their destiny and who are not afraid to follow and live it!
Believe me, you will become bored and discontented with anything less. It also helps if this person still has a child-like awe and wonder and a total reverance for life in general...no matter their age. They also shine their brightest Light even in the face of the heaviest Darkness.
These are not only the most courageous, inspiring, magnetic, attractive, interesting and innovative people in the world...but they are also the most joyful, radiant, and content people ...even though things are by no means easy for them and their world could even be viewed by another to be in a downright crisis.
Their contentment or inner peace, in the face of serious difficulties, or even while in their darkest hour, comes from the fact that they are in tune with their very soul, actively facing and learning their soul's lessons, fulfilling their life's divine purpose, they're true reason for being here, and, in the face of all obstacles...still following their bliss....no matter how difficult or challenging all of this may be for them.
In my most humble opinion, these unique individuals are life's TRUE heroes!

Learn From Darkness To Shine Your Brightest Light

Seek to learn all you can from every experience. You can only understand the shadow by experiencing it. You can’t experience the shadow when you are only in the light. That is why sages who are already in perpetual bliss have to put themselves back into the shadow to do the work. When you descend to the shadows from the light, you are able to uncover the path from the shadow to light. Then you can help others move from shadow to light. By uniting the power of things inferior and things superior, you obtain the glory of the whole world.
Your true strength is in the ability to act with power in the level of lower vibration. If you can only act with power in the situations of higher vibration, then you are not so powerful after all. When you are weak in situations of lower vibrations, you will get sucked deeper and deeper by the vortex of negative energy because you don’t have the power to ascend back into the light. If you fall in the day of adversity, your strength is small.
We may regard those who hurt us as our adversaries, yet they are also our friends, because they force us to grow wiser. Our adversaries are the impetus or impelling force that helps us evolve. These adversaries bring awareness to our deepest fears and unconscious beliefs. When we can bring awareness to these hidden parts of ourselves, the things which we avoid can become our gateway to growth and healing. Our antagonizer is our helper.
The people who you struggle with will only be forcing you to dig deeper into your inner wellspring of lightness, love, and inner peace. The gems you find inside yourself will bring an even higher awareness, allowing others to respond from a more empowered loving space. When you start recognizing the divine within yourself and in everyone, then everyone you meet becomes a divine teacher showing you exactly what you need to learn next on your life journey.
When you come across difficult situations and obstacles, take a pause. Instead of viewing them as burdensome, turn your perspective around and welcome them. Whatever you resist is a calling for love within, an indication for self-healing. All obstacles are signs for inner growth. Problems are opportunities for learning. We are never presented with lessons until we are ready to learn them. Your challenges are bread for you to feed on in order to grow stronger.
Your greatest fear can be your greatest teacher, if only you would confront it. Face your fears, stop running away from things. A fear is something you are hiding from yourself. When you know that there is something for you to discover in the darkness, you can become fearless in facing it. Fear shows to you that there is a part in you that needs love. There is no fear in love. Perfect love casts out fear. Every fear you have is a gift to experience the love of God. In areas where you fear, is where you need God’s love to make perfect. When you are conscious of God’s love in those areas, all your fears will fade away.
There is nothing much to learn when you are in the light, because you can see everything around you. It is only in darkness where there is something for you to learn. It is in darkness where you are lacking in awareness. Darkness is an opportunity for the light to shine. Some of your best discoveries can come in moments of darkness. Some of your best lessons are learned in moments of failure.
Light is never more important and necessary than in moments of darkness. It is at your darkest hour that you need your greatest light to shine. You don’t need the light when you are already in the light. When you are able to have the light in the darkest place, you can have the light in every place. You are able to move across all levels of vibrations without getting stuck at any. You are always able to move from the lower to the higher.
The brighter one wants to shine, the greater the darkness one must experience and transcend. When you overcome the very lowest, you can truly be at the very highest. Darkness is not real. Darkness is only the shadow that is cast from light being blocked. The shadow shows us that something is blocking us from the source of light. When we discover what that something is, it becomes transparent. We can pass right through as light connecting to the light of God.
