Affirmative Prayer can help you to connect with this sacred space. In 2006-2007, I went through an extremely difficult and challenging period in my life, (a very intense and painful dark night of the soul), and Affirmative Prayer was a very important and powerful part of my spiritual practice during that difficult time. To put it simply...IT WORKS! 

This is why I created this web page to share this highly transformative and healing practice with you. Let me first state that Affirmative Prayer is NOT about following an organized religion, adhering to any religious dogma, or begging a God somewhere "outside of ourselves" for anything. 

Affirmative Prayer starts off with the realization that we are all ONE with God/the Universe/Ultimate Reality...take your pick!  

Affirmative Prayer is about giving sincere and heartfelt thanks for what we already have; knowing that, in reality, there is nothing whatsoever missing, because if it were, how could we be ONE with God/the Universe, if God/the Universe, in all it's perfection, is lacking nothing?  

Through effective Affirmative Prayer, we eventually come to realize that there is a Gift in EVERY situation, no matter how challenging and painful it may be...and it is our lesson to discover the Gift of a difficult or challenging situation...to discover what is attempting to emerge, to be transformed and revealed... ultimately for our highest good."With every adversity there is the seed of a greater benefit."

Affirmative Prayer is about not thinking from the absence, or any perceived lack, which, in truth, does not really exist....but instead to think and live from the Presence, the NOW. This means being in gratitude for all the good that is in your life right now....presently, at this very second!   

For example, do you have a roof over your head?,do you have food to eat?, are you and your family safe and well?, do you have friends?, is your car running?, are you paying your bills?, are you breathing?,...I could go on and on and on...forever if I had to!

From The New Testament:

"Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and ye shall find;
knock, and the door shall be opened unto you:

So how does all this shape up now in the New Energy?

"Ask, and it shall be given to you. Sorry, not true at all. We do NOT always get what we ask for. It would be nice if we did, but it's clearly obvious that we don't... and as far as our spiritual growth/awakening is concerned, it's actually a divine blessing that we don't. However, we DO always get what we truly want and need - what is in our best and highest interest and in alignment with our level or state of consciousness... which, incidentally, is the TRUE law of attraction at work. 

Seek and ye shall find. True. Unfortunately though, most seekers don't seek hard or long enough. They tend to get stuck in duality... stuck in religions and philosophies, in old energy spiritual organizations and practices, in guru worship and followship, or in duality's popular old stand-by - the human potential movement.

Knock, and the door shall be opened unto you. Very true. But only if it's the right door, and then only when the timing is right.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added unto you. Absolutely!!! But unfortunately, most humans seek the kingdom of God where the kingdom of God isn't... and never was and never will be."

EXACTLY! I could not have said it better myself! I did not mean to complicate things on the affirmative prayer topic but I think it's very important that we realize the complexities of the issue of prayer and delve deeply into the truth of the matter or maybe I should say "the soul of the matter".  

Just be honest with yourself, in some of your past prayer experiences where you did not receive what you asked for, in hindsight, didn't it turn out more beneficial for you that you DID NOT receive an answer to your specific prayer? (Example - Please don't let me lose this job. Please don't let him/her leave me,etc.) 

It's like you had an angel (which is, in actuality, your Higher Self), on your shoulder kindly shaking his/her head saying....I don't think so, you can do much better than that, kid...not on my watch!   

I, for one am so grateful that ALL of my prayers in the past were NOT answered because the consciousness that I was praying from was so low that I would have received something that I would consider completely "sub standard" today. Thank God that my Higher Self/Soul always knew better and kept me in check! Most definitely pray affirmatively, but also evolve into the awareness that whatever happens,

"It's all Good because it's all God!"  

If you do not receive an answer to your specific prayer, CELEBRATE...because it means that God/the Universe has something much better in store for you!  Just Trust!

And then there are those extremely challenging situations that we all pray for, situations like a tragic accident, death, abuse, disease, etc. I can say from very personal experience that situations like these, particularly when our unanswered prayers involve a precious loved one, are much more difficult to deal with and resolve within ourselves. Here is a quote from Spiritual Teacher and Author Sandy Stevenson that I wrote in my journal on November 1st 2006, in the midst of my own "dark night of the soul":

"Hold strongly to the truth that there is always a higher picture. It's one of the most profound universal laws, and it never fails us. We can't achieve much if we get caught up in the dense energies of the limited picture shown to us by the 3rd. dimension. It is wise to remind ourselves that there is always more to any event than what can easily be seen. It is of great value to stay centered and balanced and in a high vibrational space. The second you choose to see a situation as "bad" and start making judgements about the rights and wrongs of it all, you just threw your stable divine spiritual truth to the wind and dived head first into the mire. You are saying to yourself, "Well, it's all I can see, so it's all that exists. 

Everyone involved is a victim. They are not responsible for creating the circumstances they are in."As this isn't true, the energy that is triggered by the situation can't transmute, (get lighter). Instead, it all gets heavier and you become less effective. Then, you stop flowing Light. You become sluggish. It becomes hard to be intuitive. In that state, you can't really help yourself or anyone else.  Even if you haven't the faintest idea what the real reason could be for an event, you know there absolutely has to be one.  No matter how horrendous the situation seems, there is a higher picture to everything. Divine order does exist. If you can stay aligned to this pure truth, and don't get caught up in the three dimensional picture, you will win everytime."

As I stated earlier, I wrote this quote in my journal on November 1st 2006 and I have to say that my Higher Self/Soul had to have been in total control of the writing of that quote because I personally did not believe a word of it!  But I intuitively knew that this was the space that was necessary for me to get to...no matter how ridiculous and outrageous it seemed to me at the time. I'm now there and that in itself is a miracle to me. This reminds me of a cool quote: "Be realistic, expect a miracle."

It's ultimately about "keeping it real"....with your Soul and trusting in it's infinite wisdom....even when you have no clue of what the reason, logic or purpose of a situation is. If you are not there yet, don't worry, you will be there eventually!  If I can do it, so can you!  Remember...Trust!  Many Blessings!

Now, The Power Of Praying Affirmatively And How To Do It...

Affirmative Prayer

Affirmative prayer, or spiritual mind treatment, is a simple process, really. It requires of us the persistence to think in ways that will naturally, lawfully, create what we desire. It's praying the way Jesus of Nazareth prayed; it's praying as the Buddha prayed. It's using the spiritual laws of this Universe to unfold in our lives the experience we desire. Once you know more about these Universal laws, it's simple to practice using them. And they can be summed up like this: It is done unto you as you believe.

Affirmative prayer, then, is about shifting our belief. The steps below have long been recognized as parts of the recipe for a change in consciousness. Each step is an ingredient for change, but keep in mind that the master chef always feels free to experiment! The best way to pray is the way that helps you feel connected with Spirit.

What do you want?

This is the first thing to decide. In order for the Universal Intelligence to know how to flow through you, it has to know what you want. It cannot know until you do!

Resolve things into thought.

Think about your desire. What are the qualities of what you desire? In other words, if you had it, how would you feel? How would you be? Yes, you may want the thing, but for the Law to work for you most effectively, you need to know what's behind the thing. For example, if you wanted a new car, why? Reliable transportation may translate into a feeling of being safe, secure, and supported. Greater luxury might resolve into an experience of Life's true nature [because the real nature of life is abundant wealth!]. Just because you need your own transportation may translate into freedom of movement, and so on.

Recognition: remind yourself of the nature of life/god/spirit.

This is the main ingredient in affirmative prayer: recognition. You must know what the nature of God is before going further. If, for example, you used to believe that God was an angry, vengeful God, now is the time to remind yourself of the greater truth. Remind yourself of the lawful and loving nature of God.

Unification: remind yourself that you come from Life/Spirit/God.

If God exists and is everything good and wonderful, but you're on the outside looking in, why even bother to pray? Remind yourself that God is the source and the creator of everything. Including you. including your desire. This is another crucial ingredient in affirmative prayer.

Realization: know that life already is the thing or experience you want.

If you can desire it, imagine it, picture it, it must exist in Mind. Otherwise, where did you get the idea? Remember, the first premise of Religious Science is that there exists a fundamental Unity. There's no place other than Mind to get your idea. For a truly effective prayer treatment, you want to keep contemplating spirit's nature as your own; when you have an inner feeling of "YES!", that's when the realization arrives. When you open your eyes, your desire may not be sitting on the floor in front of you, but don't be fooled...Mind is already at work unfolding it.

If doubts arise...

Don't just turn away. Face them! Speak the truth about what you are fearing will or will not happen...for example, if you feel that you could never afford a new car, you might say, "Infinite Mind has given me this desire and along with it everything I need to let the power of law flow through me, manifesting my desire in perfection and joy. God IS supply; God IS wealth, so there is nothing to fear...because God is right where I am".

Thanksgiving: know that what you desire is yours.

It is important to give thanks, because it acknowledges already having received the thing you desire. This is the "already having received" attitude that adds fuel to the fire of your affirmative prayer treatment. This is why you have to know how you would feel if you had what you want right now.

Release: and so it is.

Letting go is a crucial step. When you're done, your mind should be at peace, clear, unafraid, and watchful for signs of your desire showing up without becoming obsessive about it! LET the Law work through you and make your desire a physical reality!

Of Special Note:

While there are steps to follow, or ingredients to include in any affirmative prayer, also known as spiritual mind treatment, they don't have to come in any particular order; there's no need for them to follow a rigid pattern. The point is to build a consciousness that is whole, that automatically creates the experience you're desiring. This is all about engaging your mind, heart, and being with the creative power of the universe.

AN AFFIRMATIVE PRAYER FOR CONFIDENCE I know that God is the one and only source of my being. Spirit Itself created me.  Life Itself lives through me.  Love Itself sustains me.  I am an important and connected part of this spiritual universe. If God loves me enough to create me and to give me life, then I can love and respect myself no less.  Therefore, I no longer believe in unworthiness, limitation, and shame.  I no longer believe that I am undeserving of the best life has to offer.  I deserve and accept all the good things in life – for myself and everyone else in my world. I ACCEPT my own beauty, and I see it reflected in the world around me. I ACCEPT my own power, and I use it wisely. I ACCEPT my own worth, and I live abundantly. I ACCEPT my own love, and I share it freely. I ACCEPT  my own potential, and I live it fully. My past, my false beliefs, and my feelings of unworthiness no longer limit me.  I accept full responsibility for my life, my thoughts, my feelings and my actions.  I may not always like what I do or how I feel, but I choose always to love myself in the meantime.  Never again will I judge myself as undeserving. Growing and evolving feels good.  Accepting responsibility feels good.  Giving myself permission to become the person I was meant to be feels good. And I deserve to feel good about myself and my life. And so it is! Prayer Is The Ultimate Way To Solve All Problems  By Enoch Tan Prayer is the way to solve all problems. You have heard it time and time again that whatever problems you face, take it to the Lord in prayer. Cast all your cares upon the Lord for he cares for you. Prayer is our relationship with the divine. The One that is above all is like a father and mother to all creation. The Source whom all things flow and the providence for all needs in the universe. We are all aspects of the Source and individuations of the One. Prayer is a means of communicating with our Higher Self of all. Ask and it is given. You do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive because you ask not in alignment with the intents of your Higher Self. No matter what you ask, your higher self will always answer according to its own intents. Every supposedly evil thing you ask of will only be granted if it’s part of your spiritual path of learning and enlightenment. If something you ask doesn’t ultimately serve you in the best way, it will not be given. Therefore don’t fear about asking for whatever you wish. You can only ask for something good according to your level of awareness of divine will and intelligence. We gain awareness through revelation or learning from mistakes. No one is required to pray and ask perfectly. We all learn to pray better prayers as we develop in spiritual intelligence. The best way to learn is to keep praying. Each time we pray, we get feedback from the universe which allows us to know the effectiveness of our prayers as well as the will of the divine. God answers all prayers in perfection. Deal with the inner world and the outer world will start to change. When you can’t seem to do much physically in the external world to change things, that’s the time to not do but to pray. When you pray, God works. Even if nothing seems to be happening, something is happening in ways that are unseen. Events are being arranged and when you least expect it, what you desire can be manifested in the right time and the right way. Stop trying to work on the outer world when you cannot, but go within and pray. When you pray, you will feel as though your problems have been resolved somehow. It is the peace of God that passes all understanding. Prayer connects your spirit with the spirit of God. There’s subtle communication that takes place at the unconscious level of mind. Your spirit has received an answer and even though you may not know it consciously, it will be revealed to you in divine order and divine timing. Unresolved problems can cause us worry and anxiety. Resolve it through prayer and be at peace. The first thing you need to believe is in the power of God. Enlisting the help of divinity is the whole basis of prayer. When you pray, you must be conscious of the power of God, otherwise you are speaking empty words to empty space. The secret of power is consciousness of power. One who prays with consciousness of God’s power, prays a powerful prayer indeed. The second thing you need to believe is that you have received what you pray for. What you ask is given but you can only receive it by your faith. You also need to believe that nothing is impossible. You can pray for anything but you can only have the faith to receive what you believe is possible. You’re also only able to receive it in ways that you believe is possible. When you have a mindset that all things are possible, then you open yourself to unlimited possibilities by which what you pray for can be brought to pass for you. Your belief in what’s possible will also influence what you might ask. Believe in all possibility to ask and receive without limitation. One final thing you need to believe is that even if nothing seems to be happening after you pray, God is still working things out for you. The primary and end all purpose of prayer is to be at rest. When your heart is at rest, that is when God is able to move in your world. But when you are restless in spirit because of worry and anxiety, God will be at rest instead. The pilot and autopilot cannot operate at the same time. Be still and know that God is God. Prayer sets God in motion and faith keeps him moving. The best way to pray is to be inspired to pray. You do not have to pray all the time. You should pray when you have the urge to, because that’s the time when the divine is seeking expression through you in spiritual communion. When you pray at those times, that’s when it’s more natural and a flow. Forcing yourself to pray when you aren’t inspired to only makes prayer unenjoyable. Each time you pray when there is a need to be fulfilled and problem to be resolved is a chance to experience the grace of God. You must pray fervently if you want to move things in the supernatural realm more powerfully. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous person has great power. Prayer is intention. The intensity of intention determines the energy that is put forth into its manifestation. Think of your prayer as feeding energy to angelic entities that carry out the manifestation of your prayer. Some things only happen when one prays long and hard enough. There needs to be enough energy to break through all resisting oppositions.  Pray continually for continuous results. Pray unceasingly. Never give up on prayer when things don’t seem to be happening, because things do happen and takes time for more of the answer to start appearing in reality. Even when things are happening for you after you’ve prayed, continue to pray in order to generate more and better things. Remember that if you want to manifest the best every time, you have to keep intending for it.
